markust: Bush submitted a lower budget for year 2009, but by the end of the year the democrats had increased it by almost 33%, Plus Obama signed that budget into law, not Bush.

@Crakr

Search using the word "tax":
no hits.

Search using the word "code":
At least 5, all of them involving the United States Code.

Those were divided into two categories:
One of them was section 1105 which are guidelines regarding the President`s Submitting a budget to congress.

Another one was title 31, subtitle 3, chapter 31, subchapter 1, subtitle 3101. Guess what it is:

Debt ceiling

All of them were amendments.

Now at the very end of the Budget Control Act there`s something regarding the "Pell Grant". But I really don`t think that`s a tax loophole.

As you can see below, President Obama`s budget proposal`s are a lot higher than President Bush`s but that is because Obama inherited a massive recession. President Obama`s first budget proposal was one month after he was sworn in. His last proposal actually was lower than the year before. Something Bush never accomplished.

Madest, I`m every President has to submit a budget no later than the first Monday of February. It is the law (Budget and Accounting Act of 1921).

# 2012 United States federal budget - $3.7 trillion (submitted by President Obama)
# 2011 United States federal budget - $3.8 trillion (submitted by President Obama)
# 2010 United States federal budget - $3.6 trillion (submitted Feb 2009 by President Obama)

# 2008 United States federal budget - $2.9 trillion (submitted 2007 by President Bush)
# 2007 United States federal budget - $2.8 trillion (submitted 2006 by President Bush)
# 2006 United States federal budget - $2.7 trillion (submitted 2005 by President Bush)
# 2005 United States federal budget - $2.4 trillion (submitted 2004 by President Bush)
# 2004 United States federal budget - $2.3 trillion (submitted 2003 by President Bush)
# 2003 United States federal budget - $2.2 trillion (submitted 2002 by President Bush)
# 2002 United States federal budget - $2.0 trillion (submitted 2001 by President Bush)

According to Wikipedia. Now please go hide your head in shame for your idiocy.

Cajun: it`s likely covered under some legalease like, "This rescinds page 1200 paragraph 6 of subsection ... yada yada yada... of the United States tax code".

Plain language is rarely ever used in these things, that`s another reason why we should simplify the whole tax code with a simple 3 or 4 tier graduated tax code and eliminate most of the deductions.

Cajun: That pdf was posted on 7-31-11, changes were made during the senate session and unless Obama has lied again he said he wouldn`t sign a bill that kept the tax loopholes in place.

Changes happened very quickly the last two days, I could be wrong, but I know the bill does leave open the door for new taxes in the 12 member committee.

@madest is it POSSIBLE, even ONCE for you to comment without slandering someone? Do you HAVE TO call those who disagree with you racists? Can you BANHAMMER yourself, please? What does race have to do with this posting?

Once again, you`re caught-out as being incorrect. Rather than admit defeat, you slander and accuse. Rather than find a fact, YOU "parrot what you`re told to say" by your MSM Overlords.

Troll.

madest: Yes, Reagan, HW Bush, Clinton, Gw Bush and Obama have all submitted budgets, but Obama decided to not submit any proposal on this debt crisis at all.

The President is supposed to be a LEADER and LEAD, not be a armchair quarterback that criticizes every play.

madest: I could name dozens, Roosevelt submitted the social security act, Eisenhower submitted the national highway act, Kennedy submitted more funding for NASA, and on and on and on.

Perhaps you are getting the words `submitted` and `sponsored` mixed up, It does take a member of congress to sponsor a bill, but anyone, including you, can submit a proposed bill to your congressman and ask them to sponsor it.

madest: Plenty of presidents have submitted budgets and other bills in the past. You must be incredibly naive to think Obama didn`t shoot himself in the foot here.

Obama threatened to not pay Social Security or Veteran`s checks, Then told Boehner with, "Don`t call my bluff". Duh, Mr. President why make the threat if it`s a bluff ? Barrack set Aug. 2nd as an artificial deadline to begin with, He thought he could force his will on congress and congress fought back. Obama`s bluff was called, He had to sign this bill even though he didn`t like it, otherwise he`d have to make good on his threat, which would`ve killed any chance he had in 2012 and caused people across the nation to riot, or loose face and have to admit he was bluffing all along.

This issue is not going away, a lot of discussion and debate on what and where to make cuts has yet to happen. Obama didn`t win anything here, He still has to face future budget cuts.

Bluff called, Obama folded

ITS F U C K I N G SIMPLE. Put wealthy people with maybe 5 million dollers or more in hand pay a yearly or monthy tax of 500 thousand-1 billion on there budget range on the account of their wealth. They live comfortably and large ass portons get diliverd to the economy and hopefully americas poo thick debth ceiling crusher mound that will just surly pile if this isnt cleand up sooner. If they live in the country the contribute. If they leave, that shows what type of americans the rich people really are. Its sad this world.

Are you capable of your own thought CJ? I been watching your crooked news channel and they repeat that mantra at every opportunity. Brainwashing complete on you I see!
You claim to be politically savvy but that statement in and of itself shows an ignorance of how our government works. When does the president ever submit anything to congress? Congress writes the laws, you know that. Be brave enough to know when your own talking heads are faking outrage.

He made 3 deals with republicans then reneged on them, moving the goalposts each time. Eventually he had to sign something, but he was so embarrassed by the compromise that he wouldn`t even sign the bill in public view, he did so secretly in his office with no cameras present.

Leave it to the Moderates on both sides to save the day. All sides look bad on this one. Obama did get one huge win. The Republican`s were using the debt ceiling as a tool to win 2012. They wanted to raise the ceiling for 6 months and do this all over again during the election year. What a nightmare that would have been. Again thank you moderates for putting country before ideology. For basically doing your jobs.
