And then there`s the old joke about the tech support guy that got a call from the guy that said the cup holder broke off on his computer. Ancient.

As old as the internet. Seriously this concept has been around since the mid-90s. There used to be troll programs that added a free cupholder to your windows 9x computer (they would eject the drive). So no, I am not amused. 1 star

"As a valued customer we would like to extend this opportunity to show our appreciation by presenting you with a free beverage holder"

The Coca-Cola Company.

Presented in an application where you pressed OK and CD-ROM opened. Remember this anyone?
Tuborg is Turkish beer. The drink is really good, if you get in Turkey, it`s unregulated, meaning each can have different alcohol per volume. They also come in Red which is basically beer mixed with vodka, and Tuborg green. Use to drink them when I was stationed in Turkey.
The f*ck are you talking about? Assbustre beat me to it, Tuborg is Danish. Turkish? Are you high?

Tuborg is Danish, not Turkish.

If that thing broke I`d be pissed. Alcohol abuse is very serious and a beer should not be put in a reckless situation such as this.

blatent disregard for the general well-being and upkeep of his personal computation device, the extent to which this individual "bends" the rules has just gone too far for me and for this reason i have chosen to circumcise my disc drawer before using it as a cup holder.

In the early days of CD-ROM, IT support people report that many callers were complaining that their cup-holder was broken.

sounds smart in theory but it would bend or break the tray and would eventually get condensation on it. then you`d have to wipe it off or risk damage. so just set it on the table

The humor here being that we are now more likely to need a cup holder than a CD drive since everything is either downloaded or transferred on a flash drive.

Gee. That was really funny. I`ve never seen something so funny. It`s a good thing goog! found this. Otherwise this is a joke that no one would have ever heard, and it would be lost to the ages.

I worked tech support back when CDs were new to the computer world. We would get a call almost weekly for someone to come out and fix a "cup holder"

Without exaggeration, this is pretty much as old as the (modern) internet.

The problem comes when trying to keep the laptop still enough to not drop the drink without a table to put it on./ if you`ve got a table, of course, you can just put the drink on it too.

We had so many calls working tech support doing that.
"Put your CD in the CDROM drive"
"The What?!"
"The thing with the button that makes the tray come out"
"OH! You mean the coffee cup holder, nah I broke that years ago!"
