In the Doctor Who episode Midnight, they visit a planet that`s made entirely of diamond as well.

Is the very dense carbon`s orbital behavior also meant to send or amplify a signal or light.

Diamonds aren`t particularly useful.

Lasers make better cutting tools.

@tommy2X4 - If you have a PhD in a similar field of research to pulsar stars and intergalactic travel then I appologies in advance. But you`re list just makes me think of this sketch.

I bet`cha De Beers has already iniated the legal proceedings to some how own, patent, or trade market it. Think about it. For such a well funded company it wouldn`t cost much to persue this longshot idea and the payoffs could be huge.

...Orbits a Neutron Star. Well, shoot, guess I`ve gotta settle for something closer to home.
2) If it wasn`t and it would make diamonds worthless as sand.
Diamonds are already artificially scarce, you dope. De Beers controls it all.

1) It is so radioactive it would be useless to humans.

2) If it wasn`t and it would make diamonds worthless as sand.

3) Space is so vast that man will never reach the closest star let alone this one.

4) kairobert~ Change your name to "Debbie Downer".

"Ah yes-once again, scientists do a bunch of math, come up with a hypothesis for what that math represents in the cosmos where we can`t actually SEE anything, add some assumptions and we have a diamond planet! And yet we still can`t figure out how tornadoes work on our own planet, or how to reliably predict them, or the tracking of hurricanes. But man, we got this space thing ALL figured out! "

The weather system is a lot more complicated than vacuum and gravitation.
