why do americans hate universalm healthcare so much?
------------------
They don`t really. Most Americans want universal healthcare because they`ve had to deal with soaring insurance prices. The ones who don`t want it seem to already have it. Right CJ?

I`d be suing the F|_|ck out of Chase bank, as well as the local police department for wrongful imprisonment, among other things. The only thing wrong with our country is the banks. Take them down and maybe we can all get back to normal.

Then again I`d agree if you were to say he was second to Obama.

I have seen a lot of complaining about the way this country is run in the last few years, but that`s all it is. "Corporate America" is "Corporate America" because we are to busy with "E!" Lady Gaga, Obama this or that, he said she said... He DID she DID is what is important. WE are the power, WE are the majority, WE pay for the Bentley(s) and mansion(s) and Mercedes(s). If you sign someones paycheck and they aren`t performing/representing you as expected/DEMANDED you fire them. Why is it not the same in politics? We need to hold these people accountable for their actions and demand they do what we say "government should fear the people". This country was founded on tyranny and civil unrest, it will (is) repeat(ing). Don`t except the lies and rhetoric as the way it is, demand the truth. We have blindly surrendered our freedoms in the name of freedom. It`s time to rise up and reclaim our power.

Crakrjak: All our politicians are bought and paid for by corporate interests. If you think you`re going to find any exceptions by voting for a conservative, you`re seriously koo koo. Banks also contributed heavily to McCains campaign, and they will be throwing money at whoever wins the GOP nomination for president. You can take that to the bank.

jtrebowski: Clinton started the program way back in the nineties, it had a noble goal, problem was the democrats loosed the reigns and let he bloody program run wild, all while making the GSE bankers rich.

Ask yourself this question, Why weren`t those greedy bankers giving out those extremely risky loans, like candy at Halloween, not being prosecuted ? Answer, Obama was bought and paid for by them, that`s why.

Surely you must be able to sue the bank for all the damages from that... The value of the car, the job, the missed work, being in jail etc.

If not then your system is me... oh right.

Well, there are bad banks and there are totally deplorable doom banks. Make the right choice next time.

Anyhow the dude was quite nice to wait a year. Freak he should be suing the minute he got out of jail.

UPDATE: Representatives for both Chase Bank and Ikenna Njoku`s law firm Peterson Young Putra now confirm to Seattle Weekly that a settlement has been reached between Chase and Njoku for an undisclosed amount of money.

"The case has been amicably resolved and we are happy," says Eva Cole, a representative for Peterson Young Putra, refusing to elaborate.

jtrebowski:
President Obama was the one who insisted on strict accountability.
Accountability ?! There HAS BEEN NO ACCOUNTABILITY! ZERO, ZILCH.

Freedom of information requests about who got what, when and how much have been completely ignored.

viperjason: I never said Bush wasn`t accountable for some of the bailout mess, but Obama`s administration has doled out he vast majority of the funds and no one knows the exact details of it.

And, It never would`ve been an issue had GW Bush and the banking auditors warnings been heeded and loan reforms had been enacted back in 2005.

I agree that chase was definitely in the wrong. But why the hell was cashing a check for that amount in the first place. If he just purchased a house he would have a checking or savings account in good standing somewhere other than the one that Chase had closed for overdrafts. IF he didn`t how the hell did he qualify for a home loan.

This is tragic! The poor guy got royally shafted and forgotten by the big bank bullies that did it. Capitalist corruption at its finest.

And to you fools arguing politics over this: F*CKING REALLY? THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL MATTER. I swear, you all can`t go a day without pointing fingers like f*cking children. I can`t WAIT for the system to collapse so both groups that so adamantly defend their side will have nothing to talk about.

I think we can safely blame Nixon for this mess. He`s the one who started relations with China and he dropped the Gold Standard.

Plus he`s dead so it`s easier to blam him as he can`t fight back.

@CrakrJak:
Stop and read this one sentence.

BOTH OBAMA AND BUSH BAILED OUT BANKS.

And if that finally gets through, then maybe you can realize they are BOTH corrupt individuals and all of congress and the Federal Reserve and the president PAST AND PRESENT and many others in DC are all criminals for using the CONSTITUTION AS TOILET PAPER.

CrackerJak, Here`s Georgie Boy pleading for the bailout
Not only that, but Bush`s Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson, wanted to hand the money over to his Wall Street pals with no strings attached and no oversight whatsover. President Obama was the one who insisted on strict accountability.

The problem is more and more people are being turned into mindless drones that only follow procedure and have zero critical thinking ability. The bank worker probably followed procedure and contacted another mindless drone, who called another mindless drone, until the procedure said to call the police. Someone with half a brain probably figured it all out and told the bank to let the police know it was a mistake, and the mindless drone, now outside of normal activity, thought it was sufficient to leave a message.

madest: Obama agreed with it, was intricately involved with it`s crafting, and it was his Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner, that doled out the money to certain banks.

So Yes, Obama bailed out the banks, You`re the one that apparently needs reminding.
