`except when you drink beer from a straw it turns to foam`

Yup, which makes it absorb faster. Hell, I used to be a poor student, and we maximised the highs our woeful wallet-contents could muster...

@vodooshaman: Well, it`s Heineken, so you probably wouldn`t be drinking it for the taste anyway.

Perfect, keeps beer cold, nobody can recognize that it`s really a beer inside, only downside is you should feel like a bitch drinking beer through a straw... scared you might smear your lipstick?

I put my alcohol in a re-usable coffee mug when I want to walk around with it, like walking the dog or whatever. Or a gatorade bottle if its a pretty coloured drink :)
But mostly I just sit in my yard and drink from the bottle that it came in.

I got pulled over when I was about 19 pulling this same trick and got away with it even as I slip while talking to the cop. Also take the wrappers from plastic 20oz. bottles and wrap them around 12oz. cans. Great times.
However I was an idiot back then and ask that everyone should refrain from driving while intoxicated.

@ledzeppeloyd: I agree with CYBERDYNE. I`m from the Netherlands, where Heineken originates from, and it`s the CRAPPIEST beer we ever made. Probably the reason why we exported the brand in such a way, so there`d be less for us, more for you ;)

@Quackor

Keeping the beer in the can prevents the drink from being watered down when the ice melts.

I like this for the pure fact of keeping a can cold. Otherwise...yeah, I`ve just been pouring my booze/beer into the cup and had a nice day.

Wow.
Really?
I did this 25 years ago, except I used bourbon.
Or gin.
Or vodka.
Rum...
Scotch...
Oh wait! I remember doing it with beer once!

... Or you could just live in a country where you can drink on the street perfectly legally without any subterfuge. From the age of 16 if it`s not spirits. That country is the country I live in. It`s Germany. And it makes good beer too, in massive volumes.

@gerry1of1 - I didn`t know this, but I ddn`t grow up in America. In Europe you can drink openly on the street as long as you aren`t being a public nuisance.
