both coasts suck. the northern east coast (Maine) isn`t bad but every one else with all their pride about which side they live on, it`s incredibly stupid.

"Life in the tropics- not for every one "

Indeed, some shy away from malaria, dengue, schistosomiasis, trichuriasis, yellow, red and black fevers, West Nile virus, onchocerciasis, filariasis, chagus and leptospirosis. Many more exist, but those are just the most common/deadly.

I`m confused...parts of CA, OR and WA get more than 10 ft of snow a year. Some of the best skiing in the world is in Tahoe, CA. Confusing and incorrect retort is confusing and incorrect.

Ugh, it has nothing to do with AMOUNT. It`s all about whether a city is prepared. Yes, if you live in a snow heavy region, every other redneck with a truck has a plow, and they get poo done. Think (off the top of my head) South Carolina has snow plows? They get an inch of snow and they loose their poo because they simply aren`t prepared for it.

@TKD_Master: couldn`t agree more, america is a bunch of pussies when it comes to snow, when it starts snowing you cancel schools left and right, but here in sweden when we get a muther f*cking snow chaos (yeah thats right), with atleast 2 meters of snow that knocks out the entire train system, the schools wont give a sh*t, they`re like: "you should have thought of that before you woke up this morning, guess we`ll have to lower your grades for this"

"the road leading out was uphill and covered in several inches of snow."

"Several Inches of snow."

You`ve got to be kidding me. everybody but the top middle of the united states is a complete pussy when it comes to snow. OMG WHITE poo FALLING FROM THE SKY CANCEL EVERYTHING!!! In iowa we consider canceling if we are getting more than a foot of snow per hour. Otherwise get your poo to school/work.

Washington has a pretty nice winter, actually. My car got snowed into a driveway because the road leading out was uphill and covered in several inches of snow.

ahaha I love it.....I`ve had so many west coasters be all high and mighty about the amount of earthquakes they get and telling us we can`t talk cuz all ours did was shake a little......let us be excited that something that never happens on the east coast happened....

Wait, so the West Coast is bragging about having loads of earthquakes and the East coast is bragging over having to live in freezing conditions for months at a time? Stop doing it backwards!!

I second what Rammo and Pete said, I thought that way too, until I went up to the North East one summer and that humid heat is freaking horrible. Made me feel like I was dying.

I go to Washington State University, in Pullman, Washington. Last winter was spent with temperatures hovering from -10 to 10 degrees, with a foot of snow chillin all over from mid November til a week or two after Winter Break. Still had chemistry class though.
Lets not forgot about East Coasters melting in 95 degree "heat waves."
I was raised in Phoenix and I used to think the same thing, but those East Coast heat waves are way more humid than ours and it feels f*cking horrible.

I`ll take a dry 115 degrees over a humid 95 any damn day.

I love how all of the west-side users are getting up in arms. Chill bros.

We`re aware the earthquake here was pretty much a joke. I didn`t even notice it due to being preoccupied with Red vs. Blue.

LOVE snow days here in arkansas! i grew up in chicago where you`re expected to show up on time, even after 24" of snowfall. here, if it snows 1/4", every mother-loving thing stops in its tracks and starts to panic! LOVE IT!!!!! on days off (YES!) like those, i go out into the backyard and dance with the dogs--it drives my neighbors crazy!

West coast born and raised. First time I drove from VA Beach to Morgantown for MLK Jr weekend was a BLAST. Morgantown itself with it`s massive incline roads was pretty scary, but driving on the interstate while it`s snowing without actually being able to see any asphalt anywhere was wicked.

Not here! HELL NO! I drive about an hour to get to it and play...then go back to the beach and warm up. THAT`s how you do winter right.
