CoffeeDiiva is correct. I work with autistic children and we use this as an aid for them. It`s not unusual to see special needs kids/adults with these.

Not surprised by odd products anymore, its the consumers that get me.

If the Pet Rock and Snuggie made it, then anything goes in this intelligent first world country.

    ... or you could:

    1. Cut down on how much you eat and try to eat a bit healthier.

    2. Increase your activity, either taking walks, going swimming or just walking on a treadmill while you browse the internet.

Wait, what am I saying!? I want to walk around in a giant body condom, as if I wasn`t silently ridiculed enough for being a fat f uck.

It is a tool used a lot by Occupational Therapists/Assistants, for children/adults that have sensory integration issues. You can find them in therapy catalogs. They are very useful during treatments.

When we did a play in first grade, there was a song about bubble gum, and they had 4 of the kids in these things pretending to be bubble gum. As a 6-year-old, I thought it was really freaky.

I`m pretty sure these are meant for autistic children. Something about spacial awareness. One of my friends younger brothers had one similar to this.

It`s for sensory and comfort for special needs kids and adults. A lot of them find it comforting to have something surrounding them. Sometimes there are also ones that like to dig themselves in the arms, or hit themselves in which the body blanket is like a mental restraint to keep them from the impulse.

I can only assume the person in the wheelchair is a violent retard and they put them in the sock simply to protect everyone. But look at how happy it looks!
