Haha, the amount of MDMA needed to possibly treat cancer would kill you.
Not a bad way to go.

"The team found that the dose of MDMA required to treat a tumor would prove fatal"

So, setting yourself on fire would cure cancer too!

Doctor David Grant, scientific director of the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity, which part-funded the study, said: "The prospect of being able to target blood cancer with a drug derived from ecstasy is a genuinely exciting proposition."

I wonder why it excites him...

Raokin "I think that`s partially why they`re chemically modifying it.".... yup, that and so they can get a patent by saying it`s a new drug.

I read about this elsewhere, on the BBC, I think. The effects only show up when the dosage is well past lethal. I think that`s partially why they`re chemically modifying it.

They said they were looking to modify it. Anyone else get a not-so-sneaking suspicion that what they want is ecstacy without the things that made it famous?
The team found that the dose of MDMA required to treat a tumor would prove fatal, so they set about isolating the drug`s cancer-killing properties.
... right. Well I`ll give them a few decades to sort out the kinks and by the time I`m old enough for cancer we`ll have an awesome means of fighting it. Perfect.
