I saw a special on the History Channle called Bat Tec, The Tumbler stunt vehicle was able to actually perform most of the things that the Batmobile was able to do in the movie. It truely was a badass vehicle. I want one.

@RobSwindol from the sound of your comment it doesn`t seem like you`ve watched batman begins and the dark knight, but basically, this is a tumbler and bruce wayne has a black one - batman isn`t using a camouflage painted one. in fact, i`d be willing to bet he`s not even using this one, considering all the set photos so far have had bane stood on it and stuff.

How is desert camo more tactical in a city than flat black? Isn`t the idea to be as inconspicuous as possible?

This Dark Knight poo is gettimg more and more retarded. I mean, the origianl car started out camo and he intentionally painted it black to better to his job. How is going back to camo even logical?

Krizzy - Exactly, and if you pair them with the pictures of Bane, I believe he`s standing on one so I`m going to assume that he somehow ends up with these vehicles.

But you are right, this is just the Tumbler before it was painted black in Batman Begins. Nothing new or exciting.

I`m a little confused, because the "new" batmobile is the same tumbler as before. It was that color scheme until it got painted black. I don`t see anything new here and don`t understand the excitement.

Wasn`t that the car Batman drove in Batman Begins?

idc about the color, that batmobile is drating rediculous. this takes the batman movies even farther down the crapper. why dont they finish off the franchise and use the mining rig from armageddon

They`re half way to tanks now. I support this. Batman needs a tank.

thoroughly disappointed in this/these batmobiles. Was hoping with this movie they were gonna go back to the 1989 style batmobile, not just another "oh look it`s a tank we`ve colored black so it`s the batmobile" crap. This sucks

That would make traffic jams a lot less stressful.

does it come in hybrid form? perhaps electric? not sure batman has time to pull over to a gas station to fill it up in a middle of destroying gotham after chasing bad guys all night.

I like the idea that these are government/US military versions of the tumbler but if they got it from Wayne Industries surely people would be able to work out that Wayne Industries supplies Batman

`course i don`t remember enough of the previous move to know if the govt already had those or if wayne already sold them. all i remember is fire, skyscraper, explosions, a helicopter, harvy dent, motorcycle-in-a-car and explosions and fire. also, explosions. And fire. And a bomb with LED lights that olivia dunham had to shut of in a skyscraper with her _mind_. no - wait - that was FRINGE.

That looks like an urban assault vehicle. If i had to guess, I`d wager that in some plot device wayne industries [sold/leased/had the design stolen from them ] to the us gov`t for military purposes, and batman has himself a new car this time `round.

"That`s the pre-blacked tumbler! Saw that in BM Begins "

That is right, I was also wondering why it had the camo paint and is not fully black

What`s `new` ?
That looks like the same old tumbler.
There is only one TRUE Bat-Mobile

"o.O why are there 2? "

Movies rarely (if ever) go through only one major vehicle. Supernatural has ruined so many `67 Impalas.

these aren`t so much new batmobiles as un-batmaned tumblers. there was one like this in the first movie.
