I don`t think they`re slutty. She`s fully dressed. So the girl knows how to model, don`t call her a skank for it. Jeez

Uh who cares? It`s not cosmo, it`s a fashion magazine.
Why is it wrong to allow a young kid to model but not wrong to send little kids to college?
They`re all being exposed to adult situations and expectations at a young age. Why is one different from another?
The little girl in the photos is not being sexualized. She`s fully clothed and it`s not like she`s got her legs spread open.

Wow! There was not a thing wrong with the poses. The media and certain people need to stop adding a sexual bend to everything.

If she had over sized shoes and the photos didn`t try so hard to portray such "sexy" looking poses, it would be cute. It is obvious she didn`t pick these outfits out, and didn`t decide to pose the way she did; Sorry, but I would have to agree this is too far.

I can see why people would be upset - but she isn`t modeling lingerie or bikinis that is meant to look sexy- she`s wearing a dress and makeup and is wearing grown up shoes. It looks like art and it provokes discussion just like art.
My only problem is that an artist looking to push the envelope further will be less tasteful :)

hm, I see nothing wrong with this. It`s much more tasteful than some of the s*** I`ve seen that gets less press coverage... It`s more art than anything really.

@lauriloo
Like chibi said, if it was supposed to be perverted there`d be more spread eagle and booty. I sat and lay like that when I was that age, it just wasn`t on the cover of a magazine with tons of make up and expensive clothing. It`s definitely much more mild than some of the things you can find on youtube (toddlers dancing in tube tops with "adult" moves, for example.)

Here`s what I think if this:

Dress up at home: Look at me mommy, I`m a model.

Photo shot at vogue: Look at you honey, you`re a model.

I don`t see anything wrong with the poses the girl was in. If she was sitting spread eagle or bending over, then there would be something sexual behind it, and it would be wrong. But just laying on her stomach or folding her legs, which girls that age will naturally do when sitting or laying? Come on people. This is stupid.

The strange thing is, the models are supposed to be something women like me would aspire to look like so I`ll buy the clothes. Why would I ever want to look like a 10 year old?? I think there are some perverted designers desperate for attention here.

I think honestly that if you see a ten year old and say that is sexy so it is wrong, the main issue is the first part of your thought. None of those pictures were revealing nor was she posing in any provocative way. The other examples they gave were just reaching. It really is ridiculous what people are offended by. If you think a ten year old is sexy then you have issues not the ten year old YOU. Just my $.02

I`m sorry, how old?... Ten?... ahaha!... no, seriously, how old?... Really? You`re $hitting me right?... There`s a word I`m looking for, I don`t know what it is or if there is even a word vile enough to describe it. But its something along the lines of "sub-human moral-less bastards." I`m not sure that quite cuts it, but in order to show any more disgust I`d need a Joker knife, a hammer, some tooth picks, a cement block and a piece of paper...

I don`t understand why dressing little girls up as young adults with dark red lipstick and putting them in sexy poses is something anyone wants to do and/or look at. Creepy.

However, some of the other pictures (Ella Fanning is her name?) looked fine. I didn`t see the "sexy stare" they were talking about.

I think you shouldn`t teach a child to be sexy till they are ready for sex. Why won`t people just let kids be F`ing kids while they can. Let them enjoy the innocents of being a child, they`ll get all the sex related hormones they can handle when they become teens.

i mean how many commercials or ads are there that show babies running in just their diapers? if this is bad, why isn`t that?

I`m alright with it, but maybe because I see a 10 year old and not a sex symbol? I dunno.

I`m more against the fact that the parents probably decided this for her rather than her posing for images and people freaking out "SEX SEX SEX OMG PEDOPHILES OMG WORLD IS SICK SEX SEX"

It`s teaching her the lessons of life at an early age, hopefully she`ll have more time to cope and adjust to societies norm because yes we do live in a world were somebody easy on the eyes can on average achieve a lot more a lot easier.

Be pretty and people will like you. Bad for society but unfortunately it`s the truth so why not indulge and raise kids to already know this if were going to act like it anyways.

When was the last time you saw an overweight, ugly by societies standard model making millions, maybe I missed that one?

Good point.

Is she being taught at too young an age that her value is based on her sexuality? That her worth is in direct proportion to her bra size {when she gets one}?

Is she indoctrinated into a culture that says your intelligence will get you where you want to go, or her coochi?

You posed a good question. What IS this doing to her?

I think pedophile`s go after kids that look like kids. Thats why they are pedophile`s. Even though a little girl jumping rope is not suggestive, thats what they go for usually. You hear way more stories about little girls getting snatched from front yards and parks, then from a pageant or contest. Not that I agree with these picture`s but she isn`t MY daughter.

"I think, if it were your daughter and you could see some old perv jerking off to her pics you might not think it`s so subjective."

That`s not really the issue though. Who cares what people do with the photos. It`s more about what it`s doing to the girl, is she being forced to feel awkward, will she be criticized for it now or later or made fun of and forced to lead a life of ridicule or mental trauma due to this?

I`m gonna say no.

Therefore this is perfectly fine and you all need to STFU.

That isn`t appropriate in any way. Little girls do like to dress up but to look pretty not sexy and deep red lipstick and evening dress is not what any ten year old would probably choose for themselves.

At first I was against this but then I thought, she`s probably too old for the Toddler Pageant Circuit. So being washed up in that career, well, a girls gotta eat, right?

At least she can`t pose for HUSTLER until she`s 11.

@shortsagitar You don`t need a dirty mind to see deep red lipstick and suggestive poses as "seductive". The little girl is, most certainly, sexualized in this photos. It really is impossible to deny at least that much.

The real question is, how young is too young for someone to be sexualized like this? 10? 8? 3?

Bull Poo.

Little girl dressed age-appropriately skipping rope is NOT suggestive.
Little girl wearing lingerie and whore make-up IS suggestive.

I think, if it were your daughter and you could see some old perv jerking off to her pics you might not think it`s so subjective.
