Not at all. You`re racist and not at all colour-blind.

And yes, you are racist:

You define people by what you consider to be their race.

You judge people by the racist stereotypes that you approve of, with total disregard for the circumstances of any individuals. Of course, you reject the entire concept of an individual because you define people by what you think of as their race.

You think that people of the "race" you dislike the most should be penalised for being of that "race" and you claim they deserve it because they`re ALL unfairly privileged. Just like, for example, anti-Semite propaganda about "the Jew".

drat your racist hypocrisy.

So, when you chose "18-29" as your age, were you referring to decades or centuries?

It`s quite remarkable that you`re at least 200 years old. Why have I never heard of you before? Surely a person that old would have made international news.

In my experience some black people take any opportunity to cry "racism" More than any other race. But bw "racial & wrong" and "following the rules right" I`ll go with "following wrong rules that should not exist"

I am Hispanic and MANY Latinos get discriminated against too. You NEVER see them pulling the race card. Its mostly African Americans who keep racism going. Calling each other what they feel are racial slurs and being racist to White and Latinos. If blacks feel discriminated against then they should first change themselves and stop feeling owed something bc they are born black. Own it and be proud and ultimately stop calling white people racist and "privileged". This lady`s mother was WHITE and she does not even look black w her hair up so she needs to stop claiming "RACE" is why they pulled her to do this.

All I hear is "Wah wah wah damn nigg3rs are always complaining." We are living in the age of color-blind racism. You and all the other (I assume white) people here spouting that "race card" nonsense are just as racist as your predecessors. The only difference is that you don`t throw around racial slurs as casually and parade down the streets in white sheets. Hell, you don`t even admit that racism exists in the amount it does or even at all. I`m sure none of you consider yourselves racist, but unless you first admit that you have privilege over "minorities" and then work to change it, you most certainly are.
I`m not trying to hurt anyone`s feelings or wag my finger at anyone, but there is a lot of ignorance being spouted on this forum. White people, it`s not your fault that you have privilege, it is something that was handed to you before you were born. But you`re adults now and ought to see the world for what it is. Once you see it, maybe you`ll decid

years ago i visited someone in a minimum security prison. even though my hair was, at the time, cropped short like a little boy`s, it was thoroughly physically searched. i don`t see too much difference between that and being searched before boarding a plane.

@NATattack I see what you are saying, TSA employees do have to go through a screening process to make sure they haven`t been convicted of any serious crimes (probably why the process takes so long, although when I looked up information on becoming a TSA agent other people reported it taking as little as 3 months) and they do have to take a test... still they only spend 10 days training them before they unleash these people on the public. Not sure that is safe!

I know to think this is wrong, but having her hair searched like this is not racial profiling. When she`s followed around in convenience stores and pulled over by police for no reason, that is. She could have hid a grenade in that hair, it was big enough for that and too dark and thick to see through it. The white women who didn`t have their hair searched didn`t have hair big enough to hide something like a grenade, plain and simple.

She`s a woman that has been fighting against her natural style for years, in a culture where little girls start getting their hair treated with burning chemicals as little as 3 years old.

Her hair is absolutely beautiful- but she needs to embrace and understand her texture. She`s making a big deal about this not because she`s offended they picked her- but because /she`s/ ashamed of it. If she was confident in her appearance, she would laugh this off. I find poo in my hair all the time, I laugh it off because I have thicker hair and a lot of it, but I love my hair. There`s no reason to call the media about it ._.;

I dont agree with the measures TSA takes but BELIEVE ME they do not just throw any old Bob off the street in that position. My hubby applied to work for TSA and it took months of screening, evaluations, processing etc 7-9 to be exact. You are working for the federal gov. and the don`t mess around. Although like you i wouldn`t let them grab on my kids!

I`m so drating sick of people complaining about the TSA. You know why they have all these intrusive security measures? Because there have been a number of terrorist threats and actions in the last few years. they aren`t 100% effective, sure, but it`s not like terrorists are going to go right up to them and say "Oh, I am a danger to human lives, you should search me."

I really don`t think it was racially motivated. The last time I flew they swabbed my fingers and shoes for explosives, though strangely enough I did not have to go through a scanner or get a pat down. They check weird random stuff. I of course thought that was hilarious, but the point is I`m a 25 year old white woman and I was going on vacation with my fiance and future mother-in-law, BUT THEY STILL PICKED ME TO CHECK TOO. People get randomly picked all they time, and they`re bound to pick African Americans along the way too.

That said the whole security screening process is completely out of line and people should be outraged about it! I didn`t mind being swabbed but if I had a child and they wanted to pat them down I would probably yank my kid out of that situation really fast! If they want to search toddlers and babies they should not be able to throw Bob from off the street in a uniform and call him a security specialist. They should have to hire medical professionals.

It`s the principle of it. She has naturally curly hair and the TSA obviously saw too many cartoons of people hiding stuff in afro`s. I mean how short is her hair? Where in the heck would you hide anything in that? And it said `Head coverings` Last time I checked hair does technically cover your head but I don`t think that`s what they meant. And the whole " Don`t fly then" Is bullcrap. Fine America no matter how much I love your country I`d rather not be touched up to enter. You guys stay paranoid and i`ll stay un-violated. Thanks.

So if I`m not sexually attracted to black women I am a racist?
I guess because I`m not sexually attracted to men that means I`m a homophobe, right?

"You`re privileged and treated differently than any other race"

I don`t know about priviledged but white males are treated differently than any other race. We are turned down for positions even if we are more qualified so an African-American so a school or company can be more racially diverse from affirmative action, passed over for positions so a woman can have it so they can be more gender diverse.

I`d almost go as far as to say white males have the least advantage of anyone simply because there are systems in place to find a way NOT to hire/accept them.

America is a downright racist country. Almost every aspect of life is affected by race and from my perspective it has nothing to do with white people hating black people. Race and gender have become an excuse and when I see stories like this my first thought is that the person complaining is TOO DAMN SENSITIVE.

Doubt it. You`re white. You`re privileged and treated differently than any other race. Plus you`re a guy. If you aren`t at least influenced by that in some way then you`re Jesus Christ. When I was in college I worked incoming freshman orientation. We had several rules that had to be followed, on of them being no fireworks. Some kid lit off a firecracker in the bathroom. The orientation director was called to campus at 2 in the morning, the kids parents were called and told to come get him, and he was "expelled" from our little 3 day program.

What I haven`t mentioned, is that he happened to be black. His father claimed that expelling him was racially motivated, and threatened to sue. On of the other orientation aids had to walk this kid around campus for two days so he could get his schedule straightened out, and he had to have all kinds of special arrangements put in place just so he could stay, but not be part of orientation.

There was no racism involved. The kid lit a firecracker inside, which was a clear violation of the rules, and was kicked out of the program.

Racism DOES happen, and it`s awful. But not every time a black pe

Zeegrr60-"She went thru the scanner...Yes,this was racial."

The scanners are not infallable. In fact, it`s been demonstrated that it`s possible to get thing through them.

She was not singled out. Every other person who had a nappy, fake-looking, hand-grenade-sized butt-ugly bun on their head got their hair searched, too.

"Race Card", for when you have absolutely, positively no way to win an argument.
