It`s so ducked up to look back at what was being said about internet back then. I was a senior in high school with my aol account on a computer that didn`t even have enough computing power to render a web page. I just chatted and emailed. My external 14.4k 2400 baud ought as well have been a sippy straw trying to drink up lake michigan.

Whatever Billy Corgan. You`re a sellout and an as*hole.

"most people log onto it in search of nothing more complicated than [porn]"

Yay foo fighters!

Yay Perry Farrel!

I still, to this day, refuse to use the internet. I believe it`s simply a fad.

I miss the phrase `information super highway`. It was just so punchy.

Wondered what happened to Robert Thomas and his 3 year conviction.
Googled it, his name is Robert Thomas Shultz. Got convicted last year for child porn.

OMG I remember when `cyber` was the in word of the day! And showing my age here, but in 1985 when I first connected to a BBS, it was on a 300 baud modem that was strictly text mode only - AND took 5 minutes to get a page of it.
