"...increase the debt ceiling..." -- Yeah, that`s just what a country in severe debt needs... the ability to get FARTHER into debt.

"...end the wars..." -- Sure. I can agree with this one.

"...repeal tax cuts to the wealthy..." -- How about you play fair, and repeal tax cuts to EVERYONE? Punishing people for being successful is retarded.

"...Medicare for all..." -- Yeah, because THAT program is doing so well, isn`t it?

"...renegotiate trade agreements..." -- Federal gov`t shouldn`t be involved at all.

"...we have the Constitutional power to create money..." -- Yeah, as long as there is gold to back it up. We`re way past that, moron.

"...we don`t default..." -- We shouldn`t be in the position to have to do this. We are. Suck it up, and stop spending money we don`t have!

How to stop gov from going into default: Stop spending, let people rely on themselves for once and not always feel like they have mommy gov. waiting for them in bad times. Let them make their own plan w their own money.

The only way the U.S. is ever going to get out of debt is if the Republican`s and the Democrat`s learn how to work together so they can come up with solutions that help America not just their side.

If you want to look at how to lower the debt just look up any Ron or Rand Paul video on the subject on youtube. I like that Kucinich wants to get the wars over with and end the fed, but other then that I disagreed with pretty much everything he said here.

The income tax needs to be abolished if not cut down to 10% for everyone, we need to be able to opt out of social security (eventually get rid of the whole system in 10-15 years), get rid of medicare/medicaid over time, and we need to get rid of the IRS, Dept of Education (leave it up to the states), Dept of Agriculture (Ethanol...great choice there guys. All it has done is drive up food costs and lower gas mileage) cut the EPA and TSA DRASTICALLY. It can be done but only two people who are in our legislature are capable of doing it. Everyone else is a joke and only in it for the money and benefits

Well that might have been true before WWII. The gold standard hasn`t been used since the 1930`s.

Money used to be backed by gold. Now it just says: This note is legal tender....which means it`s backed by nothing.

This is largely the same stuff that the Bipartisan Policy Center Task Force presented to the Senate in 2010 and was thoroughly trashed by both parties in the House, Senate, and by the White House. Unfortunately the special interests would never allow this. Kucinich is living in a pipe dream.

sssfdg, Medicare has been a failing program since about the 90`s, and even moreso now that the baby boomers are becoming the age when they can receive the benefits.

He mentions a new New Deal, and it is my belief that FDR`s New Deal is what got us partially into this mess to begin with. If I recall, and anyone may correct me on this, FDR`s New Deal was supposed to be discontinued after the war. But it continued and was working, but it peaked and now it is crashing down around our ears.

I completely agree with Hightech90. But I would also add a federal sales tax.

""...increase the debt ceiling..." -- Yeah, that`s just what a country in severe debt needs... the ability to get FARTHER into debt. "

If you`re in debt what gets you on your feet better? More time to pay off your debt or having all your worldly possessions repossessed because you owe more than your country is worth?

"Ethanol...great choice there guys. All it has done is drive up food costs"

Then how about you speak to your representatives about all those farmers you pay to not farm to keep value of food from crashing through the floor? Plants grown for ethanol aren`t even on the same market as the food you buy.

Okay. Someone opens a business, works from when they wake up `till they go to sleep 7 days a week on said business. This goes on for years, until the business grows to a point where the owner is finally making what Obama says is rich. ($250,000).

So this person didn`t earn it? You are a drating dolt.

These turd sandwiches all talk in billions and trillions over x number of years. Here you go in simple numbers America:

    You made $22K last year
    You spent $37K last year
You have $140K in credit card debt

    Here is Washington`s "Grand Solution"

    1) Call Citibank and get them increase to your limit by $15K (That will get you through the next 12 months. They will have to do roughly the same thing every year for the next 10 years)

    2) Cut your spending habits by $400 each year for the next 10 years.

Assuming Citibank waives all interest charges and there is no inflation for the next 10 years, you will only be $300K in debt.

However, assuming the above, and doubling the number of hours you work for the next 10 years, you`ll only be $140K in debt (just like you are today)

These non-nice individuals do nothing but talk poo and pretend that the other guy isn`t doing anything. Suckers.

@obeydarklord each speaker got one minute. Also, you can`t create wealth, money doesn`t grow on trees, because that would just cause inflation. We just need some Austrian Economists in there. If you don`t know what Austrian Economics is, then look it up and research it. It teaches the right stuff.

    So print Money(Cause Inflation)
Give to the people to fix the roads (Limited Government Jobs)
Take more money from the only people who can afford to start companies. (Tax the rich. The richest in the USA pay 35% taxes on Income, All Americans pay 15% on Capital Gains. Stop any new business development)
Give health care to all (Current government health care plans are in the red, this one will be OK)

You guys are right, this man is a genius!

The highest earners/corporation have made tremendous gains for 3 decades, while middle income earners have continually regressed. This scale continues skew to towards the filthy rich, yet average earners defend the top 2%, why. Doesn`t make sense that the great wealth of a country is shared by a very select few.
