Here is one Obama scorned just the other day, The tax break on corporate jets. Now guess which party shoved that bill through congress ? Answer: The democrats, it was part of the stimulus bill that Nancy Pelosi said, "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it", and of course Obama himself signed that bill into law.

Bwa-ahahaha! Yeah, we`re not a free country at all. All of my taxes go to the queen, and she gives me nothing in return.

Ok, sure the Canadian government needs to go through the queen to pass all laws (via her representative, the Governor General), but it`s just a rubber stamp. The only time the queen was directly involved in our politics was when we requested independence from the British Commonwealth...which she okayed.

I feel the whole "Taxation WITHOUT Representation" part is missing here. King George ruled the colonies and it was either his will be done or he sent his red coated army to kill whomever got in his way of his plans. The colonists had no representatives or say in their governance, That and not solely taxation was the cause of the revolution.

Thus flags like this were made to express the reason for the fight.

ok i just have to say this. It wasn`t a bunch of white males that didn`t want to pay their taxes. It was a bunch of aristocratic white males that didn`t want to pay any taxes that they had no business paying. For example, I live in New York just outside New York City. There are certain taxes that are just apply to the city. Is it fair for the people in Syracuse, for example, to pay those taxes as well if the reason behind the tax doesn`t apply to them? No. That`s why people didn`t want to pay their taxes back in the 1700`s. There was a reason behind it.
