Just this week in NY, my mother in law had her car window smashed and her GPS stole. Jokes on them, it was about 5 years old and they were in such a hurry they missed the iPad2 between the seats :)

Dont think the GPS having her home addy will matter as she lives in Fl and was up there on a business trip.

That`s like leaving an invitation to them to break his window again. Fool.

He`s calling the criminals dumb? Who left his car unlocked with that stuff inside in the first place? Not too bright on his part either

My truck was broken into this past weekend. GPS and portable dvd player were stolen. I`d like to put a little note like this on the truck, but I`m too scared they`ll bust my windshield. Wish I could kick them in their tiny little nads.

You do know if you take away the "are" in the last part, that sentence would be correct. It all depends if the guy was talking singular or plural, although I suspect singular from the rest of the note.

"should be moms` unless he thinks the crooks share a mom"

epic grammar fail is epic. it`s "moms" with no apostrophe. BrainofBrian gave you an A+. I`m only giving you a B because you tried to correct a grammar mistake with another grammar mistake. But you did try, which counts for something.

isn`t it a little silly to put the "to a-holes who broke into my car" note ON the car that was broken into? Hoping for a return to the scene of the crime or something?

"Isn`t the person who wrote this equally as dumb for leaving that much stuff in a van with the door unlocked?"

The answer is no, they aren`t equally as dumb. They`re even more dumb for thinking the thief is gonna come back and read this.

So my question: Isn`t the person who wrote this equally as dumb for leaving that much stuff in a van with the door unlocked?

@darkmagic14n - Actually it should be "moms" because it`s plural and in no way possessive.

A+ for effort, though.

@Rawrg
It depends on the drug dealer. If they are dealing weed then I have no problem with them, however, if they are dealing meth than I think that they should be shot.

"Is he expecting them to try to rob him again and read this?"

A lot of thieves tend to stick to the same areas, and they often steal from their own neighborhoods.

Seriously though, I know how this guy feels. We live in a country where thieves get little to no jail time, and drug dealers go away for decades. Who on here can honestly say they hate drug dealers more than thieves?

@johswan12 It should be "moms." It`s sad, but that`s the first thing I noticed, too. Well, that, and the fact that Windows should be capitalized.

is it "moms" or "mom`s"?

8 years old... windows 2000.... you should probably thank the person who took it from you. seriously, if you can afford a laptop, $600 in text books, and gps, you couldn`t afford an os that microsoft still supports?

I hope your moms, not mom`s, are proud. The driver isn`t that bright either. That and leaving the door unlocked with so much valuable stuff inside. He deserved to get it all stolen.

Stupid owner, thieves are thieves, aka opportunists, also not too smart - if the letter is true.

If I ever get a laptop - to which there is a good chance that I will, I am so installing tracking software.

... although if I was to steal a laptop, the first thing I`d do is go to a public place and format the hard drive.

K.. I understand that it`s funny that they broke the window when the door was unlocked and took probably the least valuable item while leaving a bunch of other much more valuable items... But if he`s gonna leave that stuff in his van w/ the doors unlocked I just don`t see why thinks he can be so mad bout anyone stealing anything.. he was practically asking for it.
