@Rick S

A boot band is a small elastic cord with small hooks used to "blouse" the cuffs of BDUs. US Army uses them as well. I personally liked the velcro bands and used them instead when I was in the Army.

It`s funny how people think they were Americans.
I mean besides the fact they reference Tim Horton`s they also had Canadian ration packs (or for my U.S. buddies, M.R.E.).

Also, this whole Hoorah, Hooah, Oorah business is a little odd since no one mentioned that it comes from:
Heard Understood Accepted. H.U.A.

Funniest thing about the comments is people saying what catch phrases American soldiers use in reference to Canadian soldiers. The comment about "no timmies" means no Tim Hortons, a Canadian chain of coffee stores.

Coffee is to Canadians what tea is to the British. i.e. no matter what the condition we gotta have it, or maybe that`s just me and my friends.

@Maromi

They said there was no dratin Timmie`s, so obviously they cant get an iced capp.

Pay attention.

There`s no "r" in the Army "Hooah" by the way. They`re really picky about that.

I knew they were Canadian, and so would any other Canadian, in less than 10 seconds. ChrisMunich, must be a Canadian too.

Ranger Cookie:

Take one, O.D. Green, Govt. issue, coffee ration packet.

Take one, O.D. Green, Govt. issue, powdered cream substitute packet.

Take one, O.D. Green, Govt. issue, sugar packet.

Combine powders in foil-lined creamer packet. DO NOT ADD WATER! Seal packet tightly and place on heating element for 5 minutes or until contents are caramelized and solid.

Peel and eat quickly with water as needed.

Doesn`t take half this much effort and your fireteam isn`t tied up watching your a$$ for as long.
