I`m not one for rejoicing in someone else`s death, but there was only ever going to be one result.

Her talent died long before she did.

At first I wanted to laugh when I heard this, then I got thoughtfull. I have never liked her, fact is she never impressed me on any level. But it does remind me, that we can all waste our life.

I can`t believe how rude people are being. She wasn`t a bad person or anything. Jeez, RIP"

I agree completely. You may not have liked her as a person, but she did impact the music industry. I, personally, like her music. She was simply a person with issues that ended up being her downfall. That`s just one person`s pointless opinion on the internet.

She made have made some good music and had a bit of talent, but she doesn`t deserve to be in the same club as Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, and Cobain. She was pretty much drugged out all the last several years and didn`t do anything musically for the last 5 that we know of.

Anyone who makes the rehab joke is an unfunny, unoriginal person and I hate them. It wasn`t funny the first time and it isn`t funny the 58th time.

Not defending her, she was a bad person with bad music and I cheered a bit when I heard.

@ardystic

What would you have done? Sent her a letter saying please Amy, stop doing drugs?

While this is a tragedy, she brought it on herself. She robbed the world of her talent by abusing herself. Hell, even Eminem made an effort to clean himself up (mind you, his music has sucked ever since). It`s a shame, but I just can`t find it in me to feel bad for her.

Amy Winehouse did have talent, she made amazing music(not including "rehab") and gave great performances until she became a frequent drug abuser.
Its too bad she didnt put enough effort into getting better for herself and for her fans.

@Groogle "Maddux32, just name one good song Amy Whinehouse ever wrote other then her Rehab pop garbage?"

How about every other song included in the "Back to Black" album. I agree that the rehab song was pop garbage....which strangely enough demonstrates why it was so popular to begin with. Listen to all the other songs on that album and then tell me that she has no talent, either artistically or vocally. I`ll put her stuff up against anyone out today. There was a reason why she was so popular in the media and it wasn`t because she was a junkie. The girl had real talent. She wasted it. Critics were waiting for her to put it all together and produce a follow up to the brilliance she poured into her last album. It never materialized. There are lots of junkies out there, but few with the talent that this girl had.

Or you can go back to listening to your Rebecca Black, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown or whoever else is out today. Manufactured talent, void of ar

Not shocked, but disappointed. She was a brilliant artist and all anyone remembers about her was the stupid rehab song. It says something about society when a brilliant artist can produce an absolute masterpiece like the Back to Black album, and the most popular song on it was the worst....and had to do with rehab.....and people complain that nobody ever produces any good music.

Legit member of the 27 club now. The music on her "Black album" is on par with anything Janis Joplin came out with. Oh well.

Club 27...creepy.

-----------

Please. No. She`s not even in the same musical UNIVERSE as the others who joined that "club".

You`re trying to say she was as talented, as influential in musical culture and peoples lives as:

Brian Jones, Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison and Cobain.

Seriously? Or are you one of those kids that tries to go against the norm so you can have your 15 mins of fame?
