Bicycle that powers it perhaps? Imagine how fast the wow kids would get in shape if they had to pedal through a raid without stopping. There would be 14 year olds having heart attacks all over the place. If not from overexertion, from their computer crashing cause they ran out of steam. I am in love with this idea
Being an annoying engineer for a second, I must point out that the placement and existence of the desk suggests that while running, one`s head would be quite far (let`s say 2-3 feet) from the screens so as not to bump the desk. From that distance the monitors take up a very small part of the viewing area. Not a very effective simulator if you ask me...
Enough to be significantly less boring than just a plain treadmill and it`s possible that you could have the program generating the graphics and changing settings on the treadmill to match. It would be a lot cheaper than a more realistic simulator.

It does look that way. I`ve never heard of that before.

My university`s gym had computers at a lot of the treadmills... typing and walking is a learned skill.
Being serious for a second, maybe it`s a simulator for training. I`ve seen similar for cycling.
This has been around for 4 years now. I used to use one of these at work. You seem stationary on the keyboard and mouse while walking. It has a governor on it that won`t let you do more than a brisk walk. It was easy to see the screen. Your eyes adjust.

Note the screen, because you look like a douchbag.

Yeah I`d do this, except replace the treadmill with a chair.

Even better, why if the computer can only be powered by your walking?

If every office did this, the world would be a lot less fat.
