None of the things Ed was bitching about was racist. What the drat is this?

Well if its coming from Ed Shultz, then it must be true. Of the talking heads on TV, he is one of the goofiest. I wouldn`t put much faith in anything Ed has to say.

It`s called scapegoating. There`s this awful thing happening so i`ll blame it on the people who are hated most in my state. When John McCain was confronted about it he lied and said he didn`t say it. Old man needs to know recordings actually record...

How is blaming a fire on someone racist?

Also, how is impersonating someone racist?

Stop throwing that term around. You don`t know what it means.

Just in this month alone republicans have shown their racism. John McCain blamed his (last in the union to recognize MLK day) states fire on illegal immigrants and at the Republican Leadership conference they hired an Obama impersonator to make fun of the presidents color. Deny, deny, deny, CJ...

jtrebowski:
And can you tell me when southern white racists switched over to the Republican Party?
They never did, They remained democrats. Many white racists in the south still hate the republican party for emancipation and the reconstruction act after the civil war.

Even well into the 20th century racists supported democrats, Both presidents Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt were horrible racists.

President Eisenhower desegregated the military, Which started the desegregation of the whole country.

Sorry, but your lame attempt at linking republicans and racism is just an tired lie made up by democrats to make black people think democrats really care about them.

CJ said: madest: Can you tell me which president implemented school desegregation in the south ?

Can you tell me which president implemented the Philadelphia Plan, the first significant federal affirmative action program in 1970 ?

Can you tell me which president signed the bill that made Dr. MLK Jr Day a national holiday ?

Can you tell me which president appointed the first woman to the supreme court ?

If you can`t, without looking the answers up on the internet first, then perhaps your education is severely lacking.

And can you tell me when southern white racists switched over to the Republican Party?

I don`t need to take CJ`s test even though I know the answers. He`s just as blind to republican racism as John McCain seems to be. Republicans need scapegoats and anyone who`s not white will eventually feel their wrath.
When it was clear that crack disproportionately affected the black community they toughened laws specifically on that one drug. They are the racists they claim not to be.
Wait. What?! So you think they stiffened laws against crack because they were racist? Oh O bet it had nothing to do with the fact that it was the fastest spreading, most dangerous drug out there at the time, and that it was killing the black community. That wouldn`t have anything to do with it, would it? Racist.

I will not defend anyone who is on MSNBC. They are doing just as much damage to America as Fox News. Both promote division and hatred of their fellow man. It is sickening. I gave up Opinion Media last November and could not be happier.

Boortz didn`t mention the thugs` skin color. What kind of racist hears the word "thugs" and automatically associates that with African Americans?

(con`t) Everyone should have a gun to protect themselves against these people. Too bad I can`t legally own one, or be in a car with someone who has a gun.

These guys will walk up to your car, ask you for a lighter then try and rob you. For once, I`d like to be like "Yeah I got your lighter right here buddy" and stick it right in his face. I`m so, sooo sick of this bullshxt.

I have to agree with that Boortz guy. A couple months ago a buddy of mine was jumped and robbed getting in his car at the party store. 2 weeks ago, my sister was robbed at gunpoint delivering pizza. A few years back, some THUG held me hostage for at least an hour with a sawed-off shotty, insisting I was hiding money somewhere and I better cough it up. Another few years ago, my mother and a friend of hers got car jacked at gunpoint, the guy made her drive somewhere in Detroit, beat her up then literally kicked her out of the car and took off with it. I`m NOT sorry for saying this, and I am not racist at all, but EACH ONE of these crimes I just mentioned was committed by black thugs. But then again I am in Detroit, so the demographics really have something to do with it. I`m sure somewhere else, the majority of thug crimes are committed by the white kind.

Racism is endemic in the republican party. The deniers bristle at the thought of it. But in my lifetime I can`t remember republicans doing anything to benefit minorities. They fought against the civil rights movement. They use minorities as scapegoats for our societal ills. They actively work to cut programs that lift minorities out of poverty. When it was clear that crack disproportionately affected the black community they toughened laws specifically on that one drug. They are the racists they claim not to be.

I was excited because it was another FOX bashing post. And then I realized that the Ed Show was on msnbc (didn`t know that before), and facepalmed.

Msnbc, if you`re going to copy what FOX is doing, except cater to the left instead of the right, you`re not allowed to yell at FOX. Just a tip.

I didn`t watch the whole thing because it started showing Glen Beck and I felt a little sick. But I will say that opening comment by Boortz was not racist. If anything the guy in the video was racist for insinuating that only black people listen to hip hop.

sssfdg: I don`t know where you got the idea that the republican party gets 0% of the black and hispanic vote, but you`re dead wrong. There are gay republicans as well, so please stow your bias.

umm I have to agree with him that the individuals on the right are more likely to be racists. I mean Glen Beck`s comment about Obama having a deep seeded hatred of white people is just in your face racist.

The bad part is this guy in the video assumed they were talking about black people. Not minorities but black people. That is also racist.

But the fact is the party that is against gay rights, gets basically 0% of the black/hispanic and other minority votes, makes comments like the one listed in the video, has got to be the more racist party.... which makes it THE racist party.

Just because you have right wing beliefs doesn`t mean your racist but it does mean you will more likely vote for the racist party in the USA.

I hate garbage like this. I will NEVER watch MSNBC or FOX. There should be no room for overt bias in news. Too many people fall in line behind programs like this just because it pets their egos and preconceived notions.

Ed is a raving left looney tunes. I guess the left is desperate to maintain the false rhetoric of racism in the GOP when people like these

are prominent republicans.

Tim Scott, Hermain Cain, Alan Keyes, Alphonso Jackson, and Dr. MLK Jr`s niece Alveda King are also all republicans.

I am shocked...Shocked that anyone can take this seriously. Neil Bortz is a libertarian NOT a right wing conservative. msnbc only presents the liberal side of arguments, notice they did not invite an opposing view point..it is because they don`t care about truth, only to spread their message.

@botfly - While I agree not once did Boortz mention blacks in his rant, he did mention the killing of other human beings. I don`t care what color their skin is, saying you want to see any group of people (even thugs) lying dead in the street is wrong. It upsets me to see so many people supporting it.

Yeah we got it....

All Conservatives, Republicans, Tea Party members are racist, sexist, Christian pigs. Anyone that disagrees with the left is all of the above.

So what`s new?

So, just agree with MSNBC, the Democrat party, and all will be well!

Diversity is a wonderful thing, isn`t it?

If Boortz really was talking about people shooting "thugs" in self defense as jtrim1 claims, then yeah, his comments were taken out of context. This guy was making it sound like Boortz was advocating hunting thugs down.

Remember Jon Stewart talking with Chris Wallace the other day about this drive from the liberals to paint all conservatives as racist? This is a nice example.

What some of these guys said was pretty edgy and bordering on being racist, but calling them racist is still presumptuous and unfair.

Shocker, republican talk show hosts spewing hate and violence on a razors edge. A lot of the time, like the clip with Beck, they try to go as far as they can without being overt. Boortz just happened to forget where the line was for a moment.

this clip was discussed on the boortz show after it aired, and neal boortz played the REAL audio, unedited, for the listeners. Boortz was talking about the carjackings and murders happening in his area, and the part that the Ed Show edited right out of the middle of the audio track was where boortz said the next time one of those thugs tries to carjack you, you shoot them. Obviously, the Ed Show didn`t want to deal with the issue boortz was talking about, and instead wanted to try to claim boortz was being racist.
