Why the f--- does everyone immediately think that if there`s some kind of piece that`s made with a stencil, it`s automatically a Banksy. Seriously, people need to learn before they post.

Banksy has always been dark. Every piece he does has a sense of mystery about it and a sad meaning.

"I like that everyone is defending Clapton here, but no one is defending God."

At least Clapton exists.

To be clear:

Eric Clapton was NOT in the apartment when his son Conner died.

Wiki Link it`s in the first line.

So this `person` who made this is a ghoul who feasts on the bodies of dead children. If I meet this person in real life I`d beat them to a pulp!

Thanks @swaywithme! I say a lenghty interview with Eric, he talked openly about a LOT of personal stuff! It really broke my heart to listen to him talk about walking 3 blocks to see his dead son that day, awful!

BUT! They did get ALL of those dangerous window units replaced (his wasn`t the first tragic fall) and banned outright.

Tears In Heaven

WATCH THIS!

It`s not the interview I saw, BUT at 3:27 is the image used here, minus the hateful comment! idk when that image origionated, but it is NOT created by... whomever did this!

It`s not even close to true, a sad and rather pathetic mural, the person who created it ought to be embarrassed.

That`s unlikely though, anyone who can think up crap like that and consider it art or `provocative` art, is unlikely to understand what exactly is being said and just how stupid it is.

It`s true though, isn`t it? I mean yeah Eric Clapton is a fantastic guitarist and an inspirational guy, but this statement is bitingly honest. Perhaps it was supposed to cause offense, amongst both religious people and music elitists.

I agree with what Baalthazaq is saying however, it`s very hypocritical to slate someone for seeking publicity by creating something intended to get publicity.

@ Groogle: This is clearly a jab at Eric Clapton. I think you have poor reading comprehension or maybe you need a pair of the new Harry Potter glasses.

This guy, whoever the drat he is, can go get drated.

Seriously.

If he still has to push to take a dump, this guy has not gone and drated himself to an adequate degree.

Trying to make a comment about how easy it is to get publicity, when you`re getting your publicity from someone ELSE`s tragedy? No drat him, drat him 1000 times over.

He`s a frelling musician! Of course he expressed his grief through a song. Whoever did this has a special place in hell waiting for them. As a father that had his newborn son die in his arms an hour after being born, I find this totally disgusting. I suppose I`m a douche for dedicating "Wish You Were Here" to my son at my gig that night.

@Groogle. The name of the song you`re asking about is Tears in Heaven.

What`s the name of that Eric Clapton song about the death of his son... the one that won six Grammy Awards?

And for those who think this message is a direct attack towards Clapton go jump off a bridge. It`s a political statement about how it`s easy to make money off totaly f***d up situation like the death of your own son.

Oh nasty! Really mean actually.
Eric wasn`t AT the apartment when his son died. He was seperated from the mother, who was napping with her boyfriend when it happened.

Eric lived 3 blocks away, so he could visit his son often.

They crusaded to get the window-style that led to their son`s death outlawed and replaced! Preventing further tragedies.

Bank-sy. get it?

He makes dark humour graffiti since he started so i`m not surprised that he`s using public figures to get his point across.

iscariot40, they also use art to make money.

I think that`s what Banksy is trying to say.

So Clapton should have jumped out the window after him? In other breaking news, artists use art to express their feelings.
