yea, phonetically, its definitely not japanese. the characters are spoken differently.

No, it is Chinese. The Japanese written language does stem from Chinese though, so 1-10 in Chinese and 1-10 in Japanese does look the same. However, this image included a phonetic guide which is clearly meant to indicate Chinese.

I mean, we don`t call 1-2-3 English numerals, do we? No, it`s the Arabic numeral system.

No, it says `Shi, that T symbol is how they write the number, just like we say ten, but we write 10.
