george carlin has always been right. if anyone thinks he is crazy you are just a product of what he is talking about or someone with a lot of money. think about it. you can call me a hippie you can call me a misinformed liberal or any other thing im not but you have to acknowledge that corporations will always do whatever takes to make sure they make as much money as possible which includes but not restricted to paying off politicians. 1% of america`s population controls 40% of all of our money. for those out there who can do math that means for the other 99% of us out there we have to divide up 60%. and anytime a govt official says wait a minute thats drated up a corporation comes and drops a half mill in his pocket to keep him quiet. it happens. its called lobbying.looky here

I`ve been told that there is college and I`ll just assume university, courses for "critical thinking". People have to taught how to do this apparently. Next I`ll be hearing that there`s classes on "Thinking". Or is that what "philosophy" courses are?

*Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.

Yep, guess so.

I can`t believe so many people can`t spell "genius". Isn`t the squiggly red line a dead give away?
I wonder how much he charged for each ticket to this show?
i saw Carlin live about the time this was filmed (2001). I paid $20 for my ticket, on the floor about 10 or 15 rows back. Not bad at all.

Seriously though I will agree with some of his sentiment. Our electoral system is skewed more than it should be. I think elected officials should be called up the same way we run Jury Duty.

Your number gets pulled, you have four years to get $#!+ done because at the end of your term, your ass goes back to where you were before, No golden parachute, no parade, no goddamn membership to the country club, just back to work 9 to 5 making widgets.

Rig a system like that and you`d have people that would want to see things improve.

Garbage. The poor are not inherently morally superior to the rich. That makes no sense. This is just an attempt to dehumanize those with power for the benefit of those without. Dehumanizing others, the "Us and Them" mentality, is the source of all human conflict. I hope the days comes soon when the mind can humanize more than 150 people at a time. That will be a fantastic evolution, for us as a species.

Businesses exist to make a proft. There is no other reason whatsoever.

Honestly, the only reason any business makes a profit is because other people purchase their goods/services.

They may control how much they pay you for your effort, but at the end of the day you spend your money however you wish.

This...this is stupid.
He`s really taking a lot of liberty with what he`s saying. If the big corporations own America then why do we have court rulings against them and bills passed to regulate them all the time?
As well, what the mess kind of other system does he want? This one made us the richest nation in the world, with so few problems we have to start making them up. Does he want a communist revolution? Does he want us to switch to a command economy? We all know how well those do.
They do horribly. That`s what I`m saying.
George is a smart and funny guy but he`s wrong about a lot of stuff.

The big liberal elitists in this country, Like the multi-billionaire George Soros who owns 30 media organizations. Don`t care if the little people have to suffer for them to make profit.

Soros was a Nazi collaborator at age 15 and called it he best most formative years of his life, He`s toppled countries and bankrupted the bank of England, just for fun. He and others want to totally rewrite the constitution of America in their favor, they call it "Open Society", what it really should be named is "Serfdom 2.0".
