Have you ever tried setting your wireless router to not transmit a beacon, but the hard ware you connect with is set to know what it is called and connect. Never had much luck getting that to work but it seems like it would be a better security setup.

My old router has the same name as the business next door`s public wireless.

I`m a jerk when it comes to wireless routers. When I upgraded to a new router, I left the old one up and running and removed the encryption. So from time to time I`ll drat with them, like make my laptop the DNS server, and have it redirect everything to porn.
