Loved the sound of dial-up, this is even better in a creepy messed up sort of way. Agree it would work in a horror movie as well..

I think it actually sounds kind of cool. A lot better than at normal speed, at least.

1:17 actually gave me the chills, but not in a good way. That sound would completely work in some sort of horror/thriller/suspense movie.

My 10 year old son asked me what I was watching and when I told him he asked me what`s dial-up. I about fell off my seat laughing.

@fatninja It`s the sound of a dial up modem connecting to the internet, but slowed down. Get it yet, retard?

My kitty (Tiger) LOVED this! His ears were swiveling and he kept looking at the speakers, lolz!

It sounds like music! Reminds me of a Sci-Fi story where they trained humans to "sing" data into the computers. It was written in the days of punch-cards, eh?

Thanks @Angelmassb - will try it with Blue Oyster Cult!

Keith, were you even around when they had dial-up? cuz you obviously don`t know what your talking about...
anyone know if there is a word for that type of person? someone that immediately thinks they know everything and needs to comment on it, when they dont know poo? if not, we need one.

@nettech98 No..it`s itself, 100%...plus the additional 600. Not 8 times faster. But the rest of what you`ve said is correct.

yes you did break math. And I will bear with you - NOT bare with you.

You are referring to 700 TIMES slower. Not 700%. 100% of anything is all of it. If you slow it down 100%, you have taken it all away. 50% slower would be 1/2 as fast.

Besides that, your math doesn`t work anyway. 700% faster is not 7 times faster. 100% faster is 2 times as fast so 700% faster is 8 times as fast.

Note to self: slowing anything down by 700% makes for some good horror movie ambiance.

"And how do you slow something down 700%? If you slow something down 100% doesn`t it stop? Are we going backwards 600%?? "

slowing down 700% = 7x slower than normal. If normal rate = 70 beats per second, 700% slower = 10 beats per second. Though the logic behind this just got confusing because, if i am correct here, then 100% slower = 1x slower so 100 bps / 1 = ..uhh, 100 bps?? Did I just break math? It`s late, bare with me please...

This doesnt seem like it can be the sound just slowed down. There are fades and such that just don`t happen during modem negotiation. Is it `based` on the sound - sure. But simply slowed down `700%`?

And how do you slow something down 700%? If you slow something down 100% doesn`t it stop? Are we going backwards 600%??

Another wrong caption IAB?

It would have been cool of they whould have used this idea for the Matrix like they did with slowing down the song in Inception.
