I always sort of thought that was how they worked, but the photo is just awesome and dramatic. Nice work to whoever took it.

ladybugs are awesome to have but you want the larvae. They eat way more aphids..

@Vir...

"Why are they called ladybugs? Are they a whole bunch of lesbian bugs?"

Don`t quote me on this, but I think that the male version of these things look like Justin Bieber or George Michael and are somewhat brown in color. Pun intended.

Ladybugs = Awesome!

vv I don`t think ladybugs can eat leaves, they eat aphids by the ton though. You must have had a lot of aphids @Druss, and not enough ladybugs, eh?

"these bugs are the best thing to ever happen to my crops. they eat aphids like a boss. "

You`re lucky, they left all my aphids be. I tried to encourage them to protect my trees but they were content to just eat leaves seemingly.

Aww... pretty little ladybird, in English, anyway.

Or if you want some really stupid regional English names, how about lady-cows or may-bug, golden-knop, golden-bugs, Barnabee, Burnabee, the Bishop-that-burneth, and bishy bishy barnabee.

I S h * t you not.

All you haters need to STFU this is a website called I-am-bored.com, not everythingisfunny.com. This is a site to see interesting, funny, morbid, scary, odd, stupid stuff that other people submitted, THEY found it interesting. If you don`t, go screw the pooch. It`s posted by the nice people here at IAB so that person can share what they found interesting, NOBODY CARES IF YOU DON`T. A$$hats.

Yeah, it`s weird, ain`t it? I saw slow mo of ladybug flight when I was a kid and it blew me away. For example, don`t the shells interfere with it`s flight? The mind warbles.
