Those are actually called Balisong but are more commonly called Butterfly knives in america. The reason why he`s calling them butterfly knifes is becuase, just like a butterfly, they are the same on both sides

I thought the same thing and we are right however these are butterfly swords. So while most of us are used to the common butterfly knife this is basically it`s big brother. They are also similar due to the rotation while in use both the knife and the swords are based on a rotating style.
