this is henna, the brown pattern is after the ink comes off. the ink is black, and stains the skine

It DOES come off, for those who are confused.

This is typical mehndi, a traditional Indian henna done on the hands and feet of women on special occasions such as weddings. Just so you know ;)

I do real henna tats. That is the black/fake stuff. That tat would not take that long....two hours TOPS for both. Once you know what you are doing and get going, it doesn`t take long.

Let me be the first to inform everyone that this is, in fact, a henna tattoo, and not a real tattoo.

No, Mainframe, IAFYM is right. This is definitely freshly applied Mehndi.

@Mainframe, the stain from natural henna is a rusty brown, the paste is almost black. There are some artificial dyes added to the paste on occasion to make it darker, but they can cause allergic reactions.

You can tell it`s paste because it`s raised on the skin. Anything that incredibly intricate would likely be for a wedding.

The henna ink stuff has to dry and fall off, still. She still has the ink on. This is friggen sweet. My friends and I do henna every summer, once it`s warm enough to be as naked as legally allowed.

This this looks like Mehndi(from Henna Plant), when the paste is washed off, there will be a brown mark left on the hands/arms

This isn`t Henna. Henna leaves a brown pattern. blue/black is tattoo. However, it`s in the stule of a Henna pattern from India.

This is not a tatoo but an Henne. Henne don`t require needles, is just directly painted on your skin and disappear after some period.

This is henna work! and- not certain on the truth of this but- I know that henna tats go much darker on calloused skin as I used to do my feet. I was told that these are done for a bride, the darket they are the better the marriage will be, the tag being that a girl who works hard will have calloused hands and her tats will be darker than those of a girl who rarely does any work!

Beautiful work. For those who don`t know what henna is, it`s not a tattoo. It`s a natural dye that temporarily stains the skin. It`s often used for special occasions like weddings.
