Just in case you think there"s even the slightest chance that God might smite us with his rapture, remember this...

@nayrbarr time is a man made thing, there is only the moment we are in right now, no past, no future, and besides, i wasn`t really getting at that, i was getting at religious nuts all over america, sort your heads out, the bible is utter bollocks

@LaztMe484 Why would I read the Bible? I read the Bible so that I would actually know what Christians are supposed to believe in. Understanding the Bible is essential to understanding people and law. It is impossible to live in a Christian society without having been influenced by the Bible. Besides, there`s nothing better than proving a religious person wrong by quoting the Bible that they claim to live their lives by. The Bible is a long read, but it is one of the most important books you could ever read.

I`m lucky enough to own a book called "The End of the World". It lists all the people over the last few MILLENIA that have incorrectly predicted the end of the world. Funny read! If the world is gonna end it probably won`t be with much warning...

What do you mean no one can predict the future??? I can! Watch. 1. The rapture will not happen today
2. I will not win the lottery grand prize, ever.
3. You will be reading this post AFTER, not before or during the time that i typed and posted it.
4. When and if the rapture does come, so few people will be taken that we will not even notice.
5. The guy who predicted the rapture will not be taken in the rapture.
6. People will play football one day.
7. People will gamble tomorrow.
8. Someone will light a cigarette at exactly 7:23:18 tomorrow morning. I dont know which time zone.
9. There are going to be at least 100 people watching television at noon today.
10. The rapture predictor will not admit he is a fraud tomorrow, or probably ever.
I am considering filing a class action lawsuit against this man. If the rapture does not happen, he would have been insiting unrest in the population, threatening my life and the lives of billions of othe

@slimofswiv Actually, given that time is merely a dimension like the three which make up space, it`s entirely possible that one could see into the future. The trouble is that this would probably only ever be achieved with science, not by dimensional Christians (If you`ll excuse the redundancy).

@emmettyville

Take a step back, look at the bigger picture, and think for a second. In the Bible it says that the rapture will happen, it doesn`t say when and no person can predict it, I`m a Christian and I didn`t believe it was going to happen at all tonight.

And Jesus doesn`t exist, not in human form now anyway, he DID though. There may be stupid Christians, but there are just as many stupid people of any other kind of belief system. Just because one nut goes off and spouts a bunch of crap doesn`t mean we all believe it, just like saying all Americans are stupid, just because there are a few shining examples of it doesn`t mean all of them are. All I`m asking is that you think before you post.:-/

Why would you do that? Seems pointless, like fighting with the ground or reading twilight.

I am an atheist, but I have read the Bible. In the Bible it says that no one knows when the rapture will come. Any Christian who knows his poo can tell you that.

it actually happened then but only like 3 people were deemed worthy and the rest of the world didnt realise and just assumed them missing.

I`m pretty sure that the rapture has been predicted every decade for the past 200 decades.

Yes they did. According to the 4Jehova.org website as told by a witness to what the church was saying.

It`s the same person who is claiming rapture will come on Saturday that claimed rapture was coming several years ago.

"Jehovahs Witnesses said the end would be no later than
August 1975."

Nobody said that officially and most of the people who thought it would happen and it ended up not ended up leaving the religion. Nobody knows when it will happen.

People need to get over the fact that rapture isn`t real, and will never happen.

People need to get over the fact that NO ONE can ever know exactly when the Rapture would happen. There have been a thousand instances of people believing it was coming and it never did. Its called mass hysteria. Something similar happened some decades ago when HG Wells` War of the Worlds was read over the radio and people actually BELIEVED we were being invaded by aliens. Everything we`re seeing is exactly what happens when society becomes too attached to something that is blatantly fiction. If he were alive today, the person who compiled the bible stories into a book would probably be laughing his ass off right now at the craziness that exists because of it.

The first Christian prediction of this was for before the end of the first century AD. There have been dozens since. I expect there will be dozens more in the future.
