Some one today told me that they feared terrorism more now. I pointed out that they should fear cars more, cars are evil, down with cars.

All I learned from this is that if someone is trying to kill you then MLK jr is not the guy you want getting your back.

Apparently we shouldn`t have killed Osama because now we`re somehow more likely to be attacked than before he was killed. So if we had just left him alone we`d all be a lot safer, right? Heck, maybe shouldn`t have even gone after him to begin with, he totally wasn`t a threat or anything.

I agree with sentiment, and I have a feeling MLK Jr. would too.

I don`t understand, the quote clearly starts at the correct place. Everything inside the quotes is what Martin Luther King Jr actually said. Everything outside the quotes is not what he said. That`s what quotation marks are.

Yeah, just remember not to hear the message. That`s the trick.

I don`t see the point of this. Who cares if MLK didn`t say it? That doesn`t diminish it`s validity.

The first sentence is her personal feelings, the quote starts on the second line. It is already on snopes.com

Um, this posting seems weird. The quote IS MISTAKEN ok? What these fools are babbling about is beyond me.
Perhaps more is at the tiny "more on this story" link?
HERE is a link which I submitted, which actually SHOWS how MLK was misquoted or otherwise didn`t actually "say" what so many are blindly repeating.

I feel this is a win/win for this Jessica girl. If it was a MLK quote, then so be it. But now it`s known not to be; so it`s just a good quote she made up? If I were her I`d feel even more flattered.

I agree with techgeek07. I didn`t know anything about this viral quote when I first saw it. I had to go look it up. Try to use better descriptions.

For those that don`t understand, if this is really the origin, what happened is this person posted her own thoughts and then quoted MLKJr at the end. Someone copied and pasted Jessica`s thoughts along with MLKJr and took out the quotes, and contributed all of it to MLKJr. Thus creating a fake quote by MLKJr.

The pic in the link doesn`t explain anything and following the link just kind of goes back on itself with the updates.

that first part isnt in quotations, and the second part is an actual MLJjr quote. I think the problem here is a miss-reading and not a miss-quoting.
