Wow. Where is Slayer, Reign in Blood or Celtic Frost? The list is BS.

Powerslave was a comercial sell out. And half the list tried doing what bands like Anthrax, Slayer, and Metallica were creating.

Hard for me to weigh in on this, as my heavy metal phase ended around 1989 or so, so a lot of these bands I`ve never even heard of, but Holy Diver was one of my all time favorite albums back then (yeah, vinyl album beeyotches).

Oh, I also thought Shout at the Devil was a frickin masterpiece and made my brain explode the first time I heard it. Maybe that`s kind of a different category of metal, though.

How can there be "50 MOST Epic" if there arent` 50 epic heavy metal albums to begin with. There`s maybe 2 epic metal albums.

I like all the metalheads who just don;t get this. this isn`t "The best metal ever" this is "Most epic". People over use the word epic lately, but this list appears to be using it properly. Bands like slayer and moterhead did some truly great metal, much of it (IMO)_ better than a lot of bands on this list, but in no way was it "epic".

Wow. So 3 out of the big 4 of Thrash metal not in, yet Overkill makes it (who I love btw)? What failure given that 90% of death metal artists cite Slayer as their main influence. Also, no Death or Cannibal Corpse. There`s way too much black metal and viking metal here too. Also, Judas Priest`s Painkiller and British Steel aren`t in?

What is this? A politically correct metal list? From the looks of it, this guy defined Epic as hairy men singing at high pitches. I`ve seen some bad `MOST EPIC METAL ALBUM LOLZ` lists in my time, but this one takes the cake easily.

    This is crap.
I skipped to the top 10. While I agree number one should be Black Sabbath, I think it should have been their debut album. Or, perhaps AC/DC`s Back in Black. Afterall, it`s only the second best selling album of ALL TIME!

    Slayer
    Pantera
    S.O.D

I grew up with that Sabbath record in the 80`s, it was one of my favorites, and I have to say they deserve some recognition for it when you really listen to it and realize what year they were doing that in. It`s easy to see why some say they started heavy metal, and it`s kind of mind blowing to know they were singing that stuff when all that was on the radio was the Beatles.

Nice... From Afar and no Iron. No Jari Maenpaa at all.

You couldn`t even give Bathory enough respect if you put in three albums. I`m pretty sure they are black metal too.

I like how Opeth is in there when other great modern bands aren`t.

#48 - The Number of the Beast

This list has lost all credibility. This album should be #3, at least. It kind of redeems itself with Powerslave at #14, but I still haven`t heard of most of the bands on the list, so no.
