When I think "Super Snake", I`m thinking of the 2012 Mustang Super Snake with 800 horsepower...I`m more afraid of that car than I am of this actual snake, considering that it`s not poisonous and would more than likely run from you than attack you, unless of course you provoke it.

@scrapanater

snakes that large can eat a lot of other nasty things, too. And of course snakes like that are deadly, but they`re not venomous. A snake that large is a constrictor, probably some type of Anaconda, too big for a Boa but who knows. And I think you saying all snakes like that should be dead is dratin` mean. I like snakes, and I like kittens and puppies.

snakes r fine, up to a certain lenght, but id have to say, if i saw i snake that size, i wouldnt be afraid necessarily, but id be uncomfortable... and about time to pray to god that its not deadly, snakes that size should be dead, they serve no purpose, and garu, thats dratin mean, id rather have cats n dogs around, than that dratin thing....

I would have thrown my money down on a King Cobra.

Ohhh, hey wait, I get it...

This is bloody religious prejudice again! Tryin to say that Satan has won over the Christians because the serpent, the obvious symbol of satan, is so big and fat and travels with impunity across the earth! Or that we have grown complacent by not slaying the snake, the form of the devil who tricked EVE. Or are you trying to say that God is Dead because there is no St.George to do battle with the Dragon! (an obvious mistake for a big snake, that it be a dragon!)

Shame on you! Uhhh...No...Wait... oops sorry folks, it is just a picture of a big snake. My bad

I hate snakes. I hate them. I don`t care what purpose they serve in the world. They are disgusting. We ran over a dead snake in the middle of the road and I screamed like a little girl.

Doesn`t look to be an indigo as they max to about 9 feet. Plus they are not hooded and thinner than the the one in the pic. Looks like a King Cobra which can top 18 feet. Thick, wide, and hooded as the pic shows.

The background doesn`t look like SE Asia by the trees in the forefront. However a snake hobbyists/wrangler in the USA might have put one out by the road for amusement. You never know as importing foreign snakes into some states is not illegal even though should be.

I grew up in north FL and the indigos there get pretty big, and they like to stick their heads up like that when cruising around. I never saw one that big, but, several that were over half that, so, maybe this is an enormous indigo?

Can`t tell what species it is. All I can say is that it is either it is from the family Elaoidae (which I think is most likely based on the size) or even from the family Colubrid. Anyone know where the picture was taken?

When I was in 8th grade we always ate lunch outside, next to this drainage ditch area. One day someone told me not to look down and not to move because there was a giant snake slithering right around my legs. I never saw it, but everyone else got up to watch it disappear into the water. I guess it`s a good think I don`t have much of a natural fear of snakes.

That is one long snake! I would probably stop to look at it but I do not know if I would actually get out of my car. It depends on it`s reaction to me stopping near it.
