you want to know what the dog is thinking?why are you filming me instead of throwing a stick in the water for me to get?you know what he isn`t thinking, I`d much rather go home and snuggle than go swimming some more.

All the comments on lab dogs are spot on! My mother-in-law`s chocolate lab is retarded for loving to get wet 100% of the time, year round. I bet the owner filmed this (note the clip is pretty damn short) and then warmed the dog properly. No need to freak out, everybody.

green,

if you did that to a puppy it would drown. a dog is "7 years old to 1 human year" because they grow faster. If youre going to use a comparison, use a right one. ie. if you throw a man in the wild, its going to use its brain to use sticks and tools therefore out doing the dog.

Get. Off. Me.

But dont get me wrong, canines are legit

Green, if you`re going to be trolling here all night, at least comment on a good line. The one you quoted was actually kind of funny, especially since it was sort of making fun of one of the retards below it. Hence the quotes in their line.

"If a baby chased after a stick or jumped into a lake to go swimming I think I would prolly be in awe...plus I always wondered what a baby would look like with a fur coat on."

ok.. that dog. is not a baby. a baby is fragile. that dog is alot stronger and tougher then you are. throw that dog in the wild, it would last a hell of lot longer then you. your one of these people who keep a dog in a purse and call it your baby.. its better at surviving then you are.

ill be here all night.. anybody else?

i`ll agree with tfizzle... first thing i saw was a mutt with lab in it. I have a chocolate lab as well, and you can`t keep the retard away from the water.

Originating in newfoundland bred for the purpose of retrieving fishing nets from the atlantic... Yeah, they like cold water.

Actually, I`ve had dogs all my life. Get him in the car, don`t throw the stick in the lake. Choose one...

no you seem to be missing my point. which doesn`t suprise me. you see when one gets wet the water evaporates taking with it alot of heat. thats what happens when water evaporates.. now.. the dog is only cold because its wet.. its wet cause it went in the lake.. get it????????? itl take. like a previous poster said.. it can be hot as hell but when the water starts to evaporate this happens.. nothing wrong here.. relax.. take a breather. and go back to science class ok?

LOL at people who think it`s abuse. It looks like a rescue that is mixed with lab. I have a chocolate lab and it takes every command known to man to keep him out of water when we are anywhere near it. It can be snowing out and he wants to swim and he`ll go and grab a stick and push it up against me until I throw it into the freezing water. And if he came out shivering like that I would think it would be worthwhile to record it. He`d have to wait until we get home to snuggle up next to the fire (which he doesn`t do anyway, he goes to the other side of the house cuz he gets too hot). If you know anything about labs you know that they are bred for cold water climates. He`s just a bit cold and shivering...and probably happy that he had a great time getting that way. I`m sure he probably made it home to his house and rolled around.

What`s ironic to me is that he loves the water like that but shivers in 60* weather if I`m giving him a bath outside in our little swimming pool

ok, lets take your fat (guessing) ass out, naked, trick you into jumping into that lake back there and then laugh while filming you because your shivering. people like this should be locked in a cage, not feed for a while, stared at by everyone who is willing, and then put down because they`re ugly.

much like alot of dogs are, even though most dogs are more useful than these idiots. just because they`re human and there-for treated better than any other animal for no reason.

Neither cool nor funny. In mammals, shivering is an autonomic response to increase circulation in response to a dangerous drop in body temperature.

I seriously doubt they had ill intent, but I think I would have been more inclined to get the dog back into a warm car or house than pull out my camera and shoot video of an animal that is obviously cold and does not wish to be so.

Going to hug my dogs now.

I bet she threw a stick in the water to make him fetch, then when he came back she grabbed the stick and beat him with it till he passed out. Then she got some ice cold water and threw it on him to wake him up. Then she grabbed a camera. That`s probably how it went down.

And CCMA_19 people could see your profile picture as `non cute` and abuse. The dog is outside. In the Snow. With no protection for it`s feet.No doggy jacket. No dog house. But is it abuse or just a moment you caught your dog being cute and snapped a picture...much like this video.

People please. Look at the dog, he has on a collar with a rabies tag, (meaning he is taken care of) he looks well fed and not suffering from illness. For all we know as soon as the camera got cut off she bundled him up and dried him off but decided to film the funny chattering first. My dog jumps in the pool all the time freezing or not. Maybe this lady was walking around the lake and he went after a frog, who knows, but this is far from abuse. Just a funny situation that was filmed.

it is also perhaps better to study the evidence at hand, think about your argument, examine the counterargument. take a deep breath before you call someone a fool. because right now you look like a tool. there are many cases where ppl cry wolf, growling or howling at them only makes their hair stand up.

I don`t find this funny. The dog is cold and wet, wrap it in a blanket! Yes, dogs and wolfs have lived in the cold for thousands of years BUT they search out warmth, and the ones that were taken care of by humans were given warmth. I don`t see this as abuse, I just don`t see it as funny. It`s not abuse, when humans get cold is that abuse? NO. It would be abuse if the dog was left outside in the snow overnight with nothing to shield it from the cold and keep it warm.

"Dogs have been living outside, in below freezing temperatures for THOUSANDS OF YEARS"

Wolves have been living outside yes, they went trough this whole natural selection process, dogs have been bred by humans for specific aspects, which have nothing to do with survival, the fact that this dog is freezing his nuts off might have given you a hint.

Yes, my dog was dumb enough to go jump in a lake on a freezing day. So instead of drying it off and taking it inside, I grab a camera and laugh at it while it is shivering...
