hahaha! Just kidding. Is it from "Sin City"?
No, it`s from Dayjoborchestra`s "Big Grey Ribbon" dialogue replacement video. It`s the only one not on Youtube - Fox had it taken off because it uses video from Predator - but it`s available elsewhere online.

Funny stuff - they replace the dialogue with crude and silly stuff that appears to lip-synch pretty well. It was Captain Picard`s advice on what to say when pulled over by a cop.

I`d link, but it`s full of swearing and will offend some people.

2:02 You can search my ass...
Yup, the cops would indeed search your ass buddy, very very thuroughly!!

I usually greet a cop comming up to my car (which he just pulled over) with:
"Hello officer, how can I help you"
This usually puts them in a better mood, eh? Of course if you`re unlucky enough to get a complete ROOSTER of a pig, there`s little you can do to save yourself.

started out fine, then got rediculous.

Some cops are nice and will tell you what you did wrong and just say "watch it next time" and off you go. Others are dicks and will give you a $500 ticket for going 70mph in a 65mph citing "reckless driving".
Cops are just like dicks: there`s all kinds :)

In my experience, when I am pulled over by a police officer they don`t want to "ask me some questions" or "search (me)." They want to "write me a ticket" for "a traffic violation." In these situations, I simply treat the officer with courtesy and respect. More often than not I do not receive a ticket.
This video was probably made by somebody who thinks that 9/11 was an inside job and that Barack Obama is a new world order puppet.
On that note, being a law-abiding citizen will most likely keep you far away from this sort of situation. Refusing to cooperate with law enforcement makes you appear suspicious, especially if you reply to "do you know how fast you were going?" with "I will not answer any questions without my lawyer present! ZEITGEIST! POLICE STATE! STOP TRYING TO RED LIST ME WITH YOUR EUGENICS AND YOUR UNIFIED CURRENCY!"

@mykunter:

not always true. I was driving a Kia Amanti rental (front looks like mercedes) and going 5 mph over on the freeway, when the cop came up to the car, his remark was `wow, I could`ve sworn this was a mercedes or a town car`, he ended up just giving me a warning.

when I`m in my accord (1990`s model), I never get pulled over even at almost 10mph over in a 45mph zone

as for the video, the only helpful thing said was, "don`t let the cops search w/o a lawyer present"

So basically the only to safely handle a police pull over is to be a white chick? ^^; They could at least have used the same man every time, so it felt a little less like your race would be an issue.

illios makes a good point...
When I was younger I drove a Camaro and got in all sorts of trouble with the po-po. Now I drive a BMW and pass cops doing 10 mph over the speed limit, never a problem.

So you shouldn`t say "Spit in my ass, fancypants. Give you a big grey ribbon if you brush your teeth"?

Anyone get the reference?

@illios- cops pull people over for all sorts of reasons. Most of the time, it`s because of a traffic violation or a burnt out tail light, etc. But to pretend like cops never pull people over simply because they look like they might have drugs in their car is ignorant. It happens. I have friends who have been pulled over in more conservative parts of the country simply because they had dreads and grateful dead stickers on their car- they got searched and busted, but there was no traffic violation sited as reason for pulling them over- the officer said they just "looked suspicious," which was a CLEAR violation of their rights.

Also, if you`re gonna get pulled over it`s best to be a cute white girl (unless you get pulled over by officer McRapey).

But seriously, this is an awesome video. People should know their rights when they interact with the cops. They should also be as courteous and respectful as they themselves want to be treated when they`re at work.

I think it`s also important to point out that refusing to consent to a search doesn`t guarantee that they won`t go ahead and do it anyway- but it does mean that whatever they find might be inadmissible as evidence (whereas if you do consent, anything they find will be admissible even if they never had probable cause to search you).
In the UK, could you get arrested for obstructing a police officer if you followed this?
No. Probable cause applies here too. It is not an arrestable offence to exercise your rights, for any reason, including no reason at all.

Am I under arrest or should I guess some mo`?
"Well you was doin fifty-five in a fifty-fo` "
"Liscense and registration and step out of the car"
"Are you carryin` a weapon on you I know a lot of you are"
I ain`t steppin out of poo all my paper`s legit
"Well, do you mind if I look round the car a little bit?"

She`s lucky he doesn`t threaten to arrest her if she doesn`t perform oral sex. There`s really no winning with a power-hungry police man, it`s just a matter of luck.

In the UK, could you get arrested for obstructing a police officer if you followed this? Because I`m sure people have been arrested for less than being a bit snarky about their rights

"Or somebody important or somethin`?"
Nah, I ain`t pass the bar but i know a little bit
Enough that you won`t illegally search my poo
"We`ll see how smart you are when the K9 come"

they skipped the part where the police get tired of your street-wise-lawyer attitude and arrest you for resisting arrest...tazer you when you object... then beat you out of the dash-cams range.

There was a video a few (years?) back about what to do in a car, on foot or in a home.

This reminded me of it. Do the same rules still apply?
