Yikes! Now you see why they require the women to hide under a tarp past a certain age.

@Jayno- Makes total sense. I think the original comment said something about her eyes shrinking- but that`s really just a matter of her face getting bigger relative to her eyes. But yeah, eyeballs grow between infancy and adulthood just like everything else.

@the_phantom

she is old, this is what happens when you get old. you`re not old, so shush. I certainly don`t have the same facial structure I did when I was 10 years younger -.-

She was gorgeous, and still not bad looking considering the circumstances. Times were probably tough at one point.

It`s an occupational hazard. One would think that middle eastern women would have developed a thicker skin more resistant to battery acid by now.

It`s good to Not forget. We (as Americans) have very very short attention spans. Everyone saying, This is old news...in her culture, it`s not Old until a 1,000 years have passed. Now that Bin Ladin has been killed everyone is screaming for the War to end...forgetting that we are fighting for women like this one, so that they can shed their robes and live free, become educated and strong again and not be forced into lives that age and turn them into angry old women before their time. That people over there have suffered enough, and will continue to suffer if we don`t stop the Taliban from destroying their country, their artifacts, their economy, their freedom, their very lives.

And yes, O makbul bisar ast. She is very beautiful.

Well.. what would someone look like, if they`ve spent the whole life in a village, herding animals and suddenly robot like commandos landed, like from space, and started blasting everything that moves?

She looks scared in the first photo, Angry in the second. The marks on her face leads me to believe that she`s been abused through the years, what a shame.

Yes- this is very old, but all that happened is that she grew up. she was hard to find, not thrilled to be photographed and seems happy enough.

Hate to do it, but eyes do change in size from approx 18mm in childhood to 24-25 in adulthood.
I`ve heard it a lot.

Your eyes never shrink or grow. The size of your eyes stay the same from birth.

You`d think all the veil wearing would protect more against sun damage. She looks ok for her age and situation. Cake her with the makeup western women wear and judge her then.
