Don"t know if I should think he"s brave, or his parents should be ashamed for asking him to do this.

"Also, We all teach our kids our values, This kid is not `brainwashed` just because he`s religious."

most religions give you information you have to take on faith with a complete lack of empirical evidence and a strong caution not to question the validity of said teachings.Information without inquiry is the epitome of brainwashing, so unless your religion provides empirical evidence and invites inquiry, it is brainwashing you.

Someone needs to grab him, and say "Mate, imagine your mum got raped and you were the product of that rape, how would you feel, how would your mum feel, especially watching everyday as your face changes more and more into the man she watched abuse and mutilate her, would you want to be alive? would you want to be the one to find her hanging dead cause she couldn`t take the pain, of having to explain who the father was.

I wouldn`t even have the heart to argue with him (because I am pro-choice), because he is a CHILD! He didn`t get these thoughts and opinions from his own mind, they are from his book and most likely his parents. I wouldn`t even want to debate because he doesn`t have his own opinions. How could his parents allow this? He is a child...

in your experience your flavor of Christianity is taught to question, and that is why i said most and not all. So your denomination is not at all what i was talking about:)

also, I am regretting using the word most instead of many.

People are saying the kid did this alone, but who was filming this ? Perhaps it was his parents that filmed this.

MLK Jr. marched school children down city streets in his protests as well, So unless you are willing to condemn MLK Jr. then condemning this child`s parents is hypocritical.

Also, We all teach our kids our values, This kid is not `brainwashed` just because he`s religious.

It doesn`t appear that he`s being forced to do this, nor does he appear to be from Westboro BC (Westboro has bigger and professionally made signs).

once you get past 5 minutes you pity the child. Out there all alone in the cold with rain, people running up laughing and getting pictures next to him. He was polite and congenial to other people(picture takers, police and women with camera)All on what he has been brought to believe....

I don`t even need to watch this to know how I feel about it. Very few people (in relation to the human population) can understand or empathize the capacity of the decision to produce or not produce a child (this is evident by the millions of people on welfare that keep popping out babies they can`t afford to feed). While sex is a process that doesn`t immediately or always require that choice to be made, the argument "if you can have sex then you can have a child" is moot. This child can not possibly understand the weight or emotional struggle of the decision to have or not have an abortion.

@techgeek07 - Because in most places(maybe all places), there is no minimum age to be alone in public. When the cop said that the kid was too young to be out there by himself, it was his own opinion. If there was a law forbidding children that young to be on the street by themselves, no child would be able to walk to and from school.

Parents... Seriously don`t let your kids participate in protests. Don`t make them march in your Parades. Let them be kids, so that they don`t grow up to be insane weirdos. I`m a catholic but I`m against allowing children to preach, protest ,evangelize. they may have the right attitude, but they don`t know everything about the cause they`re backing.

Alright, so this kid is entitled to an opinion, and even entitled to scream his opinion as much as he wants- that`s freedom of speech, he`s not hurting anyone, and it doesn`t bother me even if I think he`s got things backwards.
No, what bothers me about this is the back of his sign saying Obama is trying to make America "no longer a Christian nation," when the reason the country was founded was the free exercise of religion. I don`t know where a lot of people in this country get that idea, but hearing and seeing it over and over again is irritating.

Maybe you`re right.
But on the other hand, the kid is standing in the street yelling crazy poo at the top of his lungs at the White House.

What would Jesus do? I don`t recall anything in the Gospels about him wearing a sandwich sign and screaming at the Romans.
