I`ve used one of these before at a science gallery. I got lucky and there was nobody around so I got to bash it out for about 2 hours... in fact I was explaining how some of it worked to the people running the show, haha! Anyway, I can tell that the track is not pre-recorded at all... all of his movements make complete sense. And yeah, it`s a synthesiser/sampler/workstation and has absolutely nothing to do with DJing. Shame about the poo tune too!

It`s called a Reactable. It`s not a "DJ desk," it`s a synthesizer.

It`s pretty cool, seems like something that would be fun just to play around with, but would take weeks of playing with to figure out what is actually going on when you do certain things, I.E. rotating and distance, etc.
The website for it is (ReacTable.com)

well, could be a really cool table, wish there were a better musician performing on it. this song sucked. that high pitched squeal the WHOLE time man?! really? out of all those little cubes you don`t have a different sound on there that would not be irritating to no end?

@vstorm You are wrong if you listen you can hear differences in the track when he is doing the movements just cant be tone deaf

The track is pre-written and his movements on the table are staged to make it seem like he is manipulating a real time sequencer. This is deduced from the fact that nothing he does seems to have a definitive effect. He turns things, pulls them closer but the effect on the track is different everytime.

That was immanence!

I`ve played with one of these before at some Science of Sound thing, Pretty cool but you could really use it well because there were a ton of people crowding around it!

angel, that one would be much more useful and easier to use. in all honesty, it also looks cooler in my opinion.

the board is cool, but im sick of this music. there is nothing original in it, they all use the same back beat with different sounds throughout to appear different. also, the fingerless gloves....really?
