 |  Gerry thank you for this botox baby followup. Mr Geller also shared about it, it was really impressive. Well how can a mother do this to her kid, this was done right by court she don't deserve to control the poor girl

That said yes she should be taken away, but maybe taken to another family member/friend of family to give as little stress/damage as possible than what has already been caused.

I`m enjoying the fact that I learned about this case through IAB and the updates on it before BBC got a hold of it!

So glad to hear this mom lost her kid, she had no right to be a parent. Abusing her child because she`s unhappy with her own looks.

couldn`t they have just been lipo-ing the mom and using that instead of botox?

Back when I first heard the headline, I thought the mother must be nothing to look at if she`s imposing her own fubar version of beauty on her daughter. This video interview with the mom in it confirms that notion.

You want to make your kid better looking? Try eating healthy. Not dieting, but eating healthy.

I guess the Botox worked. That girl had the skin of an 8 year old!!

Why would a little girl need Botox anyway? I don`t think it`s worthy of taking the girl away just because of that tho. I`m sure there were other reasons.

Our only chance for survival is birth control in the water supply.

Hopefully it will be a deterrent for other mothers who are thinking about doing this sort of thing to their kids. If they are too self-absorbed to think of the well-being of their kids, they`ll think of their own desire not to go to jail or have their kids taken away from them.

Thank god someone`s looking out for the kid. Did anyone else notice in the interview that she can barely friggin smile?

I wish my mother would buy me some botox and stick some in my face.

I assumed that`s what would happen. If not than I would have lost complete faith in humanity. That woman is missing some screws.

It`s not that we`re inherently ignorant (no sh-t, sherlock...how can we NOT be ignorant if we don`t know something?), but we`re preserving the...`lesser intelligent`. Warning labels on f-cking EVERYTHING, and then rewarding them with lots of money when they still figure out new ways to hurt themselves. Then at the hospital, we do everything in our f-cking power to keep them alive, and it only serves to move the never-ending stupid cycle forward.

@gary8162

Yes she is very ill guided and it`s a horrible thing to put an 8 year old child through. But separating them, when the child doesn`t seem to show any resentment towards her mother, is surely more damaging to both of them than the mother just having counselling and being closely watched?...
That`s my view from the stuff I`ve seen on IAB, so there may be loads of other reasons for the decision which I don`t know about.

Sure they could have told her to stop but you`re missing the point. The point is this mother is endangering her daughter with botox injections just to increase her chances of winning a pageant. You have to wonder what else she would be willing to do TO HER daughter to win. This mothers priorities are severely skewed.

As for the "not beating the crap out of her" statement, that`s not the only type of child abuse out there. Believe me, taking the daughter away is a good thing for now. Maybe her mother can get counseling now to get her mind right and then the two could be reunited in a healthier relationship.

The child wasn`t safe, if in fact the mother was getting the Botox from "suspect" places, as Baalthazaq pointed out.

Surely its not justifiable to take her daughter away from her? They could have just told her to stop... Seems very OTT its not as if she was beating the crap out of her.

oh my god! the mum is a retard. and I`m saying this because shes obsessed with the pageant thing and wants her child to win, she admits its a tough in the pageant world. ok so don`t enter your bloody child then!! shes only doing it because other mums in the pageant told her to do it. FFS. *facepalm*

How about instead of injecting your baby with botox, why not use the money to eject the fat from your marshmallow body?

I read that the father was 79 years old when she was born and died 4 years later at 83.
Something about that gives me even more doubt about the mother....

Internet memes are great. I feel sorry for the tweens just growing up now, trying to break into this weird internet subculture that us old fellas have created. My 12-year old niece is just now trying to get to grips with it, to make inroads, and keeps asking me questions, since Uncle Davy "knows stuff about the internet". I mean, after all, how *IS* babby formed?

I refuse to sully my mind with what possible nonsense this came about.. whatever the reason.. I hear kid pageants.. which is just f*cking pathetic. This kid needed to be removed. If that crazy bitch injected her with some contaminated botox, man that can be bad....

What this mother and all those pageant mothers are doing is child abuse. Pure and simple. You think any of those girls are gonna grow up with a healthy body image? Healthy self-esteem?

All those pageant mothers are just as crazy. I think the real question people should be asking is, if botox is endangering the childs` well being... what about all the crazy behavior the rest of them put those children through for these pageants?

Another kid who is probably going to have some serious self-esteem issues later on... It`s quite sad :/ she`s probably going to grow up to be pretty but because her mom told her she needed to botox she wont see herself that way...

I really hope she still sees herself as pretty, even without the botox and all that crap.

"Are you fishing".

Opposite actually.

Big block of information before anyone else has said anything usually means "Aww damnit, I have stuff to do and I`ll end up missing this one".

In this case prepping for a trip to Saudi.

Information is a key part of opinion forming. So, untwist your innards, and maybe invest in some yoga or something.

As for the avatar, it`s up because it annoys a certain type. The type that uses phrases like "High Camel", and often the type that get disqualified at banjo competitions because the extra fingers constitute an "unfair advantage". ;P

lengthy debate? are you fishing?

and yeah, no matter what now the kid is going to have a few issues. i mean, we all do to a certain extent, and that`s natural, sure. but for your mom to push botox on you to "stay pretty" at such a young age... its gotta kick some kind of insecurity into overdrive. poor thing. i really hope she can be better than her mom.

As tragic as this situation is, it should not be news worthy. We have wars, an unprecidented amount of poverty/homelessness, people dying of starvation in our own country... Last thing that should be in the spotlight is one retarded parent.

This is just shameful by the mother and those who participated in the injections. Get real troll.

Getting old. We can form opinions just fine, this site is just simple entertainment. Get off your high camel and comment like the normal people.

Just before the lengthy debate starts, the list of allegations thus far are that:
She`s injecting botox into her daughters face (confirmed).
She`s getting the botox from "suspect" sources. That`s a big deal considering what botox is derived from.
Her qualifications to administer it is under investigation.

This isn`t just "I gave my daughter plastic surgery" which is already setting off alarm bells. This is coupled with a *lot* of shady stuff going on in the background too.

What the f*ck is wrong with this mother? BTW the surgeon who did it also!

A major fact recently proved. That scientific evidence shows that injections of the neuro-toxin does seep into brain cells and does destroy them.

It sickness me. She gave her kid Botox so she would win pageants. I hate pageant moms. They have a kid and dress them up like whores, just so THEY THEMSELVES get attention for having a child that won a ribbon/trophy. Pageants aren`t about the kids, it`s about the attention whore mothers. I feel bad for pageant kids. I`m glad the girl was taken away. YOU DON`T GIVE BOTOX TO A CHILD! THEY HAVE NO WRINKLES! She could`ve given her daughter serious nerve damage.

Either way the kid loses, destruction of self esteem via the mother or being put in a foster home, although the foster home seems like the better deal at the moment.

I feel bad that the child has to undergo even more trauma now, being taken away from her mother, but it`s probably the best thing for her in the long run. She was not growing up in a healthy environment.
