According to that included letter, he not only killed a vampire but included proof of its death. I wonder what the proof was?

You can kill the guys, I`ll help. Just leave Alice (Ashley Greene) alone. She can bite me any day. She`s the only reason I can suffer through those stupid movies with my wife.

    Dear Mrs. Eberhardt,

I have dispatched the vipir that took your sweet daughters life. Included in this case are the tools used in the final act along with proof of its death. Mildred`s life was too innocent to be taken by such a monster; she was dearly loved by me as we were newly betrothed. May she now rest in peace.

It`s modern. The typewritten letter predates the invention of the typewriter, the knife is a modern kit blade and they sure didn`t have Dymondwood in the 19th C. Aluminium wasn`t common then either. The rawhide wouldn`t have lasted either. Nice art piece, though.

It`s definitely not `authentic`. That knife has a plywood handle, not to mention it`s made of stainless steel. The axe is a modern camp axe and has an aluminum handle. Circa 2011 me thinks.

You`re right, but you ruined the fun :-(

Anyway, Korans not effective against vampires I see. I wonder why...

knife handle is birch wood, not plywood and the blade may be simply polished iron (it is pitted).. axe handle is tin with rivets (powdery look to it)... rivets in aluminum would bore out over time, hence useless. however the axe blade does look rather new and stainless.. you can even see the steelwool scratches in it from a quick polish.

i still want one, most things in there could be converted for use on zombies too

Vampire killing kits are real and do exist, I have seen them personally at auction. This is not one of them. The cork isn’t aged at all, the knife is new.,Ax,bottles etc. are all from different periods, and the nail heads on the finish nail have no patina. Basically robosnitz is right. Fake.

anyone else notice the boy scout symbols (webelos)in the upper left and right top cloth of the box. My guess is that this was at one time a boy scout camping or supplies box and then someone had an idea and started adding things to it...

@dfwSurreal That symbol is actually a quite common one called a Fleur-de-lis. It`s used by the scouts as well as the New Orleans Saints, Israeli Intelligence Corps, and even the Corvette logo is based on it...
