Link: Apocalypse Now: Why Believers Will Grow Stronger - The failure of the apocalypse to materialize will only strengthen believers` convictions. Deal with it, atheists.

Further lack of evidence and failed predictions do nothing to open Christian minds to the possibility that they might be wrong, but instead makes them more devout.

    Same shiit, different day.

Btw, Folx most Christians did not believe in this latest rapture prediction, including myself, for reasons that are already written in the bible.

Only God knows the hour and day of reckoning and no preacher can make it happen or predict it.

the deal with it is kinda unnecessary. i wouldn`t expect someone to lose their belief system, and i don`t think i have to "deal with it" like i`ve been let down somehow.

I find it amusing how christians laugh and scorn this guy when he has the exact same beliefs than them, he only tried to put a date to it.

    Agreed CrackJak...
Like I said in a previous comment. There are crazy people everywhere. Regardless of race, religion, color or creed. The reason you think this is the majority, is because they`re the loudest, most ignorant and obnoxious. You will find the same type of group wherever you categorize people. Athiests, Muslims, Black People, White People, etc. If we all stopped paying attention, then they wouldn`t get the publicity that they are hoping for.

I also agree with CrakrJak, and add that not only does the Bible say that only God knows, but that it also said in Mat 24:11 "And many false prophets will rise, and will deceive many."

It is also interesting to note 2 verses before that that Jesus predicted this:

Mat 24:9 "Then will they deliver you up to be afflicted, and will kill you: and ye will be hated by all nations for my name`s sake."

All you have to do is look at all the anti Christian posts and comments on this site to see that He got that prediction right.

too true brimstoneone, there are so many verses in the bible that any possible situation is covered by one, so that every crazy ass religious fool can say "oh but my bible/torah/quran predicted this to happen! how powerful my god must be to predict all these things, and yet there are so many that they often contradict themselves, in both the way your "supposed to" live as well as actual characters who are in two places at once, or couldnt have been somewhere, or etc etc... its a bunch of bullpoo, and no grammar nazis please, as i really dont care if i spelled one of these holy (stupid) books wrong

I really don`t believe that the majority of Christians even gave the "rapture day" a second thought. I know I didn`t pay it any mind.

I woke up yesterday morning, and for fun checked in on my family. We were all still here, so either it didn`t happen or we we not the Christians that we should have been. However, nobody in my church was gone, and I haven`t heard any reports of any other churches having missing members.

Well, whether or not you believe, I pray that God may bless each of you.

Occam`s Razor would definitely apply here. Rather than these nutjobs coming up with excuse after excuse- sh-t, I`m sorry to have been so disrespectful, I meant to say `reasons` and `explanations` (that weren`t realized until conveniently after the fact), it`s just easiest (and most likely- CORRECT) to go with `It`s all fake.`.

@ ryanhake thank you for speaking the truth I am a christian and never once gave this 5/21 a second thought. The bible says no one will know and he will come like a thief in the night. No one can predict it, but because of those nut cases we all have been grouped together. I end this comment with one more thing. I have noticed when a person of some faith collects all non believers into one group, there is an outrage of explaining how this atheist is different from that one. Now all believers are being collected in one group but it has to be ok????

    I disagree with this article.

The effect described only works on those morons who already believe the world will end. No one else.

If someone doesn`t think the world will end yesterday then you ain`t gonna convince em with more of the same BS.

Furthermore, the whole event was more detrimental to their "cause" since most of the news and general hubub was criticism and not support.

News anchors made jokes, despite their laughable impartiality.

I have yet to see anyone actually suffering because of this particular event. So... I disagree with that.

But if you feel that way maybe you should speak out and separate yourself from the nutjobs! That way people will know and your integrity will remain.

On second thought thought that might not be so easy since comparatively few people believe exactly what you do.

@LazyMe484 You probably dont see anyone suffering because you are probably turning a blind eye to the Christian bashing that has been happening because of that moron`s scam. There are very, VERY few who believed it at all. =/

@Wicked. There are crazy people every. Saying that Christians are the most obnoxious is a bit much don`t you think? Obnoxiousness is a human trait and being the best at it is not dependent on race, religion, color or creed.
