Haven`t we all realized this isn`t from America? ^^; Not to object cause it would be nifty, but still.

While the idea of machine-dispensed mashed potatoes sounds nasty, I don`t think it would be any more fattening than anything else you`ve posted. It would definitely have less than 10% actual potato in it, but probably not much worse than, say, any fast food restaurant ever.

Kegomatix has the right idea. I personally feel awful if I don`t get at least a good walk around each day.

The reason why Americans are fat is because McDonald`s charges 99 cents for a cheeseburger and 6 dollars for a salad.

Head down to the park once in a while and you`ll see plenty of people working out.

No, this is not why America is fat. America is fat because nobody will get off their lazy arses and work out every once in a while. And everyone seems to believe that all these miracle "diets" work and you can just take a pill to shed pounds. People think there is some sort of science to losing weight.. NO just get outside and go for damn run! Hell, WALK!

This can`t be the U.S... Because if it was I`m sure someone spilled it on themselves and sued the company for serving hot food. Plus it`s not "convenient" enough...

BTW, in the time it takes to boil water, you can make your own instant mashed potatoes.

What? Nobody`s heard of insta-mash?

all you have to do is add water and you get mashed potatoes. And they`re not even gross, either. So if you keep the machine stocked with mashed potatoes, make it heated and have a mixer in there to make sure it doesn`t all settle and get gross, and there really shouldn`t be a problem with it.

Same with the gravy. There are plenty of gravy mixes you can purchase at a store and all you have to do is add water and heat. Put some of that in another compartment, keep it heated and keep it stirred, and once again-- no problem.

Yeesh. Think before you speak.

(PS. for anyone questioning the origins of the `insta-mash` they just cook and mash the potatoes beforehand, and then dehydrate them.)

The local gas station here actually had a machine similar to this a few years back. I tried it once, and by the taste of it I`m pretty sure that it wasn`t meant for humans.

How hard is it, really, to grab a sack of potatoes from the grocery, wash one off, wrap it in cellophane, and microwave it for a few minutes ?

It certainly would be healthier and cheaper than this.

i don`t get why this is more fattening than the fried butter or the double-triple-quadruple stacked burgers or the fried-cheese made into a grilled cheese sandwich.

this is mashed potatos in a tiny cup. gross, but maybe not as fattening as buying a crap ton of candy bars at the gas station, which is totes what i do.

dark chocolate snickers ftw.

I don`t get it. What`s supposed to be the problem? The metal water bottle? The small cup of mashed potatoes? The drink? That it is a combo? Why is this lower than, say, a bacon ultimate cheese burger, curly fries and a drink?
