"I`m a conservative and even I believe Fox News IS a lie factory. They`ve been caught at it many times."

Please. Fox news doesn`t lie. They make mistakes like every news agency. The difference is there`s no conservative George Soros out there funding 100s of people to watch of second of the liberal news to find the errors and post them on mediamatters.org.

The truth is every independant study ever done shows Fox News is the least bias of the major network news outlets.

It`d be fine with me if it ever happened in California. I`d take a bunch of pictures of weed and smoking weed, then get pulled over and pull out my weed, then show the cop my weed, then show him my marijuana recommendation. Then just ask, IS that ALL officer? But i`d pronounce it ociffer

instead of donating to the aclu, they should pay someone to develop an app that will destroy the handheld "extraction device" when it links up with the phone. it`d have to serve another purpose too, (maybe hidden inside a game or currency calculator) so people wont get charged with destroying state/federal property.

I`m a conservative and even I believe Fox News IS a lie factory. They`ve been caught at it many times.

But this story was covered by the other news services as well.

The most entertaining part about this post is reading the comments by the liberals who honestly believe that Fox News is a lie factory. I would be willing to bet that none of them have ever watched Fox News, other than clips they see on the internet.

"Don`t watch Fox News everything they say is a lie!" The far left is so insecure about their own ideology that they can`t stand the thought of people seeing a conservative perspective.

And I DON`T GIVE TWO pooS because I`m not a criminal, just a sick teen. Track my cellphone data? What the one time I went out? Look through my text messages? All you`ll find is the 3 text messages from facebook or something along those lines.

ITT: Extremely paranoid people who might have things to hide

Yet, when your phone is stolen, the police say they don`t have just cause to track it!!
I swear if I was more with it when I got pickpocketed then I`d totally have said I saw some muslim dude with bombs strapped on him taking it, they`d track it in a second then!

Geez I just bought an iPhone4 last month. I thought it was just superb in it`s functions. Now this BS. Well crap I guess I`ll have to keep it as I don`t do anything illegal anyway.

I wonder if the iPad2 has the same program. I was considering to buy one this week, but now I`m not.

Big brother just keeps growing bigger balls.

Well it`s now being covered by CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and even the BBC. Maybe you should drop your prejudice and gain some perspective.

"They don`t even have to go to the judge to get the right to search your car. This used to happen to me a LOT when I was younger: Cop pulls you over blah blah asks to search your car and you say no. Cop calls K-9 unit dog comes out and barks at your car. Cop rips insides out of your car to find nothing, then just leaves you there with your disassembled car interior to pick up the pieces. "

and then you sue the police force for damages and win....

"Just leave your GPS off.."

Check this part of the article about it...

"The location info appears to rely on tower triangulation rather than GPS data, meaning it locates you even if you have location services switched off. "

I`m psychic and I can see the futrue.
THIS is what will happen. . .

There will be a minor bruhaha over this.
People will be outraged!
Then people will be bored and move on to a new story.
The state will continue to use this tracking info.

How do I know this?

People screamed about TSA searches and what happend?
People screamed about the gov`ment reading emails and what happened?
People screamed about the election fraud and what happened?

Americans are too lazy to save themselves or their freedoms.

Listen KID, you don`t seem to understand, you DO NOT give up rights for ANY REASON. you give up one you have given them all up.

Not to mention, I use my phone for business and have CONFIDENTIAL info about myself, my customers and my business on my phone (password protected but that doesn`t stop these devices) and it would be against the law for ANYONE to read that info unless they are authorized and that includes the police unless they have a warrant.

YOU ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE, YOUR PRIVACY IS YOURS.

if you don;t think so, tell me how you would feel if the police came to your house w/o a warrant, let themselves in and searched EVERYTHING in your house...still

The Michigan police have stated that they do not use the device unless their is a warrant or in cases that involve children and then the device is only used by special teams.

that sounds all good and fine EXCEPT they have refused to honor the freedom of information request the ACLU filed with them seekig to find out exactly what data that have obtained and what they have used it for. Thier reason? they say the cost is too high...unfortuntely for them the Freedom of Info Act cannot be ignored FOR ANY REASON when the request meets the guidelines governing the law. they told the ACLU that the ACLU must give them 234K before they will release the info...

sorry but there is no gevidence that it would cost that much to turn over electronic or hardcopy files of the data usage and it is total BS.

the bottom line is people the police in this country have been power happy since the gov gave them so much power after 9/11.

we MUST take back control and remin

@the_windy- I`m pretty sure it`s the same in Canada as it is in the US: cops have to either have probable cause or a search warrant to search your private property.

Also, your mentality is really fu*ked up. Basically, you`re arguing that nobody should have a right to hide anything from the state. If you`re comfortable living in that kind of world, there may be something seriously wrong with you.

That is the WRONG way to go about looking at this. It does not matter if you have anything to hide, it is a violation of your rights and it has no place in happening through the law enforcement (the group that`s supposed to protect and advocate for said rights).

Having nothing to hide is completely irrelevant, having these rights thusly ignored is nothing short of dehumanizing.

If you have nothing to hide, then it shouldn`t matter. Only thing I can think of that you wouldn`t want them to see is if you have naked pictures, but sending sexy pictures and taking them is so trashy, so it`s your own damn fault. Someone was BOUND to see it anyways.
Also, I`m pretty sure you don`t need a search warrant to search a person`s car. Least where I am you don`t.

@LillianDulci- but there`s a huge advantage to doing illegal things. Namely that some of the most fun things one can do are illegal (I am in no way suggesting that the converse- all illegal things are the most fun- is true).

Although I don`t support such an invasion of privacy, another good thing about not doing anything or going anywhere that`s illegal is this doesn`t concern me personally despite having an iPhone :P

I never understood why people buy iProducts. Apple has always acted as if you are simply borrowing their equipment. I would much rather buy a product that has the equivalent functionality, but where I have control over it. The trend is clear and their lack of respect for their own customers is only going to get worse.
