You doofus! Have you never heard people use the term "cracker" for a white person? Where you live, anyway?

Is it racist because it excludes black people (only Mexican, Chinese, and Crackers are represented) or is it racist because it assumes all Hispanics are Mexican and all Asians are Chinese? What about Vietnamese, Korean, or Japanese foods? I bet they sell Korean foods in that aisle, yet they label it "Chinese" instead of "Asian" - dude, Chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature

@mykunter: Mmhmm...better believe your black friend knows EXACTLY how many times you`ve done that. The countdown has begun. OR...

Yeah, it`s all fun and games until the black man snaps!

Once a week I go to a restaurant for lunch that gives you crackers with your salad. I take the crackers with me back to work and give them to a black co-worker. I tell him something like "you are what you eat" or "you don`t want to be black forever, do you?". He laughs. Racism is fun.

Angilion- Oh there are tons of Indian places. I love Indian food. That is something I love about the US that when you travel you don`t get as much. When you travel to France you have French food. Italy Italian. They have some other types of restaurants, but it is nothing like here. I used to live in Orange County, and you could get good food from pretty much any country near to home. Its great.

I`m curious now - do you get much in the way of Indian-style food in the USA? There`s a hell of a lot of good food from India, but I`m thinking that maybe it`s only big here because of the historic links between the British Empire and India and because of the fairly large scale of immigration from Pakistan and India to the UK.

Although I`m reliably informed that much of it is Anglo-Indian (versions of the Indian dishes modified for the English market) and I know that some of it is a British take on Indian food. Tikka Massala, for example, sounds Indian but was actually invented in Scotland.

Oddly enough, I`m eating some crackers right now. Jacob`s Choice Grain crackers. They`re so tasty that I eat them by themselves. With a cup of tea, of course.
Funny. I also think it`s extremely funny that the "flavors of the world" section of one of my local grocery store`s freezer aisle has nothing but Mexican and Chinese food.
That`s a wider coverage than the world series :)

The place I shop at is too small, but they have British, French, Italian, Greek, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Caribbean and Moroccan. Having said that, about 80% of it is Chinese or Indian. I`m assuming it`s mostly a matter of what sells best.
