I find it interesting that when a Japanese dog barks, it sounds almost identical to an American dog bark.

I feel like he`s not the real owner, since the Japanese Emperor is one to lie and deceit his own people..

heh at 26 isch seconds the dog looks at the camera to make sure it`s being recorded. leads me to believe the dog is an actor being paid.

If you all cried watching this, you should watch the movie Hachi. American version of a true Japanese story that made me boo-hoo like a baby.

"whats with all the masks? i know there is only one in this vid, but in all the japan vids there are tons of them."

I don`t know specifically what disease they`re trying to guard against, but with a natural disaster of this magnitude, there is bound to be a ton of pathogens around. You`ve got a disruption of normal sanitation- so there`s both ruptured sewers and a ton of displaced people without adequate facilities to manage their bodily waste. You`ve also got tons of displaced people whose homes were destroyed crowded together, which can spread disease rapidly. Perhaps there`s a flu going around, and they`re asking anyone who might be infected with it to mask up because of their close proximity to others in the emergency shelters.

@mr_c_bowler: The Japanese tend to wear masks when they themselves are sick in order to reduce the risk of passing the illness around to others. Right now with the tsunami, I assume it`s because they are worried about bad stuff in the air, but usually when you see facemasks in Japan and other asian contries it`s because people are ultra considerate about exposing other people to their own germs.

You can already tell what the dog was thinking when he saw them coming, "Awwww crap I almost escaped to my freedom in America, but now I will surely be eaten!"
