How many times was a sign like this needed before it was made?

I bet that sign works a heck of a lot better than just the regular "Pool Closed" sign.

There is a set of rules on how to deal with fecal release in commercial pools. This doesn`t surprise me at all (coming from someone who works pools for a living ;) ).

And the people that take care of this are the Fecal Accident Response Team, or FART for short

This sign is potentially inaccurate in that it assumes it was an accident.

I`m pretty sure though it`s not the chlorine what burns in your eyes... I`m in a swim club so believe me OR (of course that`s the same I`d do) look it up on the internet :) I call for urine...

There`s so much chlorine in public pools it`s like swimming in bleach so no worries about bacteria lol

its funny. im a lifeguard at a pool. someone takes a dump at least once a week in one the pools at our facility. all we do is fish it out, and pour some "chemicals" in, which is just other pool water, to make everyone feel better, then wait 30 min, again for aesthetics. the truth is that there are so many chemicals in the pool the dukey is dead on contact.

Both "Faecal" and "Fecal" are perfectly acceptable silly European. You guys also spell "Airplane" "Aeroplane" among other words which both sides of the water spell differently. Your beef is with a man named Webster who decided to change a bunch of word spellings. We tend to appreciate Brevity over here and if we can eliminate a useless letter or two we are more than willing to do that. So Goodbye or CHEERIO...

I`d like to see the redneck version of this sign. "Somebody shat in the pool."
It`s spelled "faecal"
No it`s not,

like it`s not spelled:
"gramme"
"programme"
"colour"
"aluminium"
"theatre"
"centre"
etcetera...

You Brits are just fancy like that.

We Yanks write "fecal" no additional "a`s" needed.

@sapphire: It`s spelt `spelt` silly European! It may be spelt that way in England, and -may- be an acceptable alternate spelling here, but the American spelling is `fecal` and since it is an American sign, we`re just fine thank you.

"It`s spelled "faecal", silly Americans."

well, i would pronounce that "FAY-CULL"...and that just sounds kind of stupid to me...."FEE-CULL" just sounds more...scientific-y...

It`s a public pool. Of course they invested in such a sign.

People (children... mostly) poo in public pools on a regular basis. This is not new.

One thing is for sure, it will keep people out of the pool, whether it is true or not.
