An amazing piece, made with over 100,000 toothpicks over the course of 35 years, is a depiction of San Francisco. 35?

And he has/had a wife so he was getting laid while clearly obsessing over this thing. I`m speechless.

some people have too much time on their hands
but i guess if you do have that much time, making something like this is pretty cool

"I am alone in thinking that setting this on fire would be worse than setting a baby on fire?"

Seeing as a baby takes less than 1/35th than what this did. I`m with you.

You guys are drating dumb, it took him 35 years to complete this BECAUSE he does have a life and would work on it once in awhile. This isn`t a piece that takes that many years, but it does if you are too busy raising kids, having a job, etc. Get over yourselves.

If I were a millionaire I would go see him and buy it, then light it on fire in front of him.

Everyone exclaiming, "wasted time"....for the most part, waste`s their life doing nothing more useful than identifying impressive feats by others, pointing out how they were nothing but a big waste of time....while never contributing anything useful or entertaining to society.

ggolbez: Wasted time? This is art that is very personal to him from the sounds of it (like the clocks time). He will make money out of it and he both recives and gives enjoyment out of it. We can`t all cure cancer, sometimes it is better just to do what you enjoy.

More impressive than the lego machine posted a while back. But at the same time kind of... wasted time?
