Looks impressive - 1 stategically delivered MOAB would obliterate it all! **Total Annhialation was 100 times better than command & conquer.

Skypirate: well, some people consider guaranteed healtcare to not just provide individual freedom - but to be a condition to have individual freedom.

"An army has nothing to do with socialism, mr. oversimplifier guy."

Yes, actually quite the opposite. Socialists and Communists have always spoken against the military institution. What Americans think Socialism and Communism is, is far from what Socialism and Communism is.

A lot of people seem to be arguing over whether the weapons were dated or not. Here is the bottom line. The armor and weapon systems seen wouldn`t last a week on a modern battlefield, too dated. The US/NATO military are set up to take on the largest army in the world and come out on top. In todays world numbers irrelevant when the technology gap is too great as long at it isn`t say, more than 5 to 1. The problem, and we`ve seen this in Vietnam/Iraq/Afganistan, is the untrained guy running around with dated RPGs and AK-47 and their clones. Technology doesn`t account for that. The good news, and the same goes for China, is that neither country has a sufficient navy or air transport capability to move 200,000-2,000,000 troops. So the moral of the story is this, they can`t invade anywhere outside of Asia, and we shouldn`t invade there with out expecting the same "quagmire" were already involved with. Even awesome armies such as the US suck at fighting guerilla wars.

@elf: "we" is relative

Yeah, relative to all Americans. Why is a European chiming in on this? Individual freedom is much more important than some one world state, which it was it seems the EU and other `New World Order` entities are striving for.
This is what public healthcare will do to your country, according to many americans.
a start to socialism/dictatorship? maybe, i dont have all the answers. but forcefully making your country to think/move/act as one isnt a step towards individual freedom, which is something we value.

please don`t assume that because an army marches well at a parade it is well trained, well equipped or well fed. it only means they spend way too much time rehearsing(kind of like a high school marching band). Some of the best soldiers I ever served with were horrendous at drill and ceremony.

Call of duty? Never get near that. Just happen to be a soldier. And.. Those AK`s are the chinese build. Total kaka. Looking at the armor and build of those tanks, a grenade could destroy them, let alone a rocket. Those huge rockets are, after all, single use, and you already have anti-missile systems going about that could take those mid-air. and the pilots they showed? The US airforce could take them down, let alone actually skilled fighter pilots. if only the citizens there would know what the west has in terms of weaponry, they wouldn`t be so proud of this parade.

Makes me wonder why we don`t have nationally televised military parades like this. A little hint of might now and again might deter future wars.
outdated weapons
tanks, giant rockets and ak`s...not actually that dated. sure the ak was out in th 40`s, but the m16 is still 50 years old. and i have a more then one ex-military buddy who said, given the choice, hey would take an ak over any other rile in a survival scenario. i think you play too much call of duty.

Indeed.

Which is why I`m more concerned with the people of North Korea. They are trapped in their mini communism. When the regime ends, and it will, it will likely be a bloody mess for someone.

Was there any reason NOT to play as the Soviets in Red Alert? Disregarding a conscience, they had the land power with heavy and mammoth tanks. Air power with the MIGs. And freakin` Tesla coils? Of course, Allies had Tanya. Mmmmm.... Tanya....

Dream on brah. They have no infrastructure. Barely any medical. Their leaders fly to China to get surgery and medicine. Heck they can`t even feed themselves due to poor farming methods.
