The legal drinking age is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, and 19 in the rest of Canada, jeepjones.
HAHHA, suckers who can only drink at 21. You can kill before you can drink alcohol! How freaking ridiculous is that?

Just to let those who were not aware know: The legal drinking age in Alberta is 18, not 19 like the rest of Canada and definitely not 21 like you poor americans.

@davymid

George Street. This is why Newfoundland wins, most bars on one street in the world. Don`t you know that George Street festval is coming up, where you don`t have to be in a bar to drink, just on the street! ;)

A Newfie and proud!

That`s probably the University of Lethbridge, I live pretty close up in Calgary. I guess they hire a cleaning crew every weekend cause the whole campus gets so trashed.

@davymid
Nah, that would be my adopted home of Newfoundland. Highest alcohol consumption per capita in Canada and highest number of bars per capita in all of North America. It truly is a wondrous place.

Finally an insight to davymid`s lifestyle antics.

5cats; where are you from in Canada?
clearly not Alberta. They accept crushed cans at any bottle depot (they don`t at the beer store because beer stores are just corner stores) AND they give you either $0.15 or $0.25 for a can. I can`t remember exactly which. 1700 cans at $0.15 each = $255.
Thats A LOT of beer cans. My record is hauling in just half of that with one visit.

They accept squished beer cans. I stomp on mine to compact them, and The Beer Store gives me my deposit.

what kind of recycle plant won`t take compacted cans 5cats?? I`m pretty sure it all gets squished when its processed anyway

At $0.10 a can deposit, idk if that was very smart, eh? (they won`t take squashed beer cans) should have used pop cans, that`s what Canadian Rye Whiskey is for! (mixing with pop I mean)
