I know it"s a theme with these books, but maybe they could have bent the rules for this particular volume.

I agree, it`s probably more for others to understand people who are depressed, because it`s not something you innately "get" unless you`ve been there. It might prevent jerks like my brother from telling people there`s nothing wrong and that I was making it all up. And this was when I was telling him about my depression AFTER I dealt with it, so I can`t imagine the harm it might have caused to someone who was currently depressed and trying to reach out for help. He`s a dummy for sure.

Well it does mention it is "A Reference for the Rest of Us!" meaning it is instead calling people without depression dummies.
