    i dont think it would fit through my doors...therefore it would be confined to my living room so i might as well use a normal sofa.

    Y`know, a simple joystick would do the same, better, and with less effort. I wouldn`t call this an improvement.

    That`s an awful lot of screwing around just to use your recliner. It`s not exactly hard to pull a handle and lean back is it....

    It would/could have practical applications, This whole process could be be used by someone who is completely paralyzed not so much the recliner aspect but the mobility part.
