Yes, it`s officially an April Fool and as such it is incredibly stupid of them. One thing that makes Improv Everywhere kind of creepy is the possibility that one of their tricks will be taken the wrong way and something bad will happen. That`s what they all just reminded us of. I think some people will laugh a little less at their stunts now. Furthermore, people who fake serious things like that for a joke are a-holes. It`s not remotely funny and I think less of them now.

I think the majority, if not everyone, realized this is a joke. It doesn`t mean we can`t rationalize why someone would punch a douche like Jar Jar.

a couple things
1. jar jar got in their bubble. it was pretty much self defense. they asked him to back up and he didnt.

@ I-am-ninja: An assault is an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact. Don`t correct someone who is already correct because you sound like a D-bag.

Sorry, instead of assault, I meant battery.

Battery is concerned with the right to have one`s body left alone by others. I think what Jar Jar did satisfies all three conditions for battery
(1) an act by a defendant; (2) an intent to cause harmful or offensive contact on the part of the defendant; and (3) harmful or offensive contact to the plaintiff.
So yeah, I would consider what Jar Jar did as offensive. The guy wanted left alone and Jar Jar didn`t listen. He totally deserves to get smacked around.

Jar Jar kept touching that guy. With his hands. That doesn`t justify gettig jumped, but still.

Also. Adult Swim`s April Fools joke started last night. It`s very possible this was an April Fools joke that was released very close to midnight.

When Jar Jar pressed up to the guy, that is is assult. The guy warned him not to do it again.

When JarJar assulted the man again, the man defended himself (not knowing if this was a drug crazied lunitic in a amsk or what)

JarJar has no legal case. If a person feels they are being threatened, they are allowed to defend themselves.

JarJar actor is a self important little drat who needs to learn about reality.

uscbadfish - I disagree. He wasn`t being attacked himself. The first thing that came to mind, if this were a real situation, was to kick the **** out of the guy?

They aren`t justified at all. It is just an act of senseless violence simply because someone got a little too close to you. I see this a lot with anything to do with Americans. In those Megas 64 videos, for example. Instead of people laughing and having fun, I see uptight morons whining about a couple of people trying to do something entertaining and enjoyable.

Instead they`re met with people who clearly have no idea how to smile, laugh or enjoy life.

I guess that`s the world we live in today though. If you don`t like something or the way someone is acting, lets just beat the **** out of them. Because that solves everything, doesn`t it?

And even if this is a joke, you do what they did, and you can be arrested and can go to court for assault, it`s that simple.

If this wasn`t an April Fool`s stunt -
Bremir, I believe someone would be 100% justified in defending themselves in this situation. You`re supposed to retreat if possible before hitting someone. The guy had nowhere to go and also asked the actor multiple times to leave him alone. He had no idea if this was some crazy/dangerous guy in a mask.

They were hardly justified to attack someone based on that. If you had any common sense and someone was annoying you that much you`d walk away.

But of course, violence is always the answer to any situation isn`t it?

Something was posted here not too long ago, something about humans and the comment was "we really are something, aren`t we?" or something like that. Oh yeah, we love to attack each other and kill each other and argue with each other over thing that don`t actually matter.

Fact is we`re useless and moronic and a pointless species.

Either way I have a feeling this was staged. The ones attacking don`t sound convincing at all.

"I don`t give a poo if he got beat up. Clearly the guy said "get out of my face." Then Jar Jar rubbed up against him so yea he got what was coming to him."

Agreed. Fair warning was given.

I don`t think people should ever put there hands on someone else BUT he was in his face and the guy told him to back off... after that...

I think they were justified in what they did. He told him 3 times to get back. I have a thing with subways and buses anyway, and If you get in my face while i`m on one, you are just asking for it.

I think improv is funny, but you wouldn`t point a fake gun at a cop and expect to stay safe.

April Fool`s Joke? You can`t show up anywhere with a Jar Jar Binks mask and not expect someone to hit you. Especially when you get in their face like that.
